British woman who moved to Australia warns people about huge problem 'nobody talks about'

The Brit in Australia seems to be having a bit of a nightmare because of this

Something’s been in the air recently, it feels like everyone knows someone who’s just gone off to Australia.

Maybe you’ve said a sad goodbye to your best mate who has gone out there to work or perhaps you’ve sent your little brother off for his gap yah.

Either way, there’s no denying that down under is a popular destination for us Brits.

Not to mention the ease of them speaking English, it’s known for having better weather, amazing sights and well, just great vibes for travelling.

And plenty of people move over to the other side of the world for a bit of a fresh start or to work in a different environment.

But one British woman who moved to Australia has warned people about a huge problem ‘nobody talks about’.

Faye got herself a working holiday visa and has been spending time working and living in a remote area of Western Australia.

Speaking on TikTok, she says that people warned her before going out to ‘be careful of the spiders, the snakes, the crocodiles, the sharks, the kangaroos they will be nice and the koalas - oh isn't that going to be cute’.

But the travel lover adds: “Do you know what nobody f**king talks about the f**king flies. I've talked about them and I am going to keep talking about them but nobody warned me about this.”

The Brit admits she ‘probably wouldn’t have come’ if she knew ‘this was a reality’.

“I am in Karijini National Park - it's absolutely stunning. One of the most beautiful places in Australia that I've seen,” she explains.

“But this is the reality. I have to wear this f**king net over my head because they will not f**king stop.”

Faye is wearing a cap on her head with a black net completely covering her face as little flies swarm around her and sit on the net.

She explains the flies are ‘relentless’ and are ‘not like English flies’.

“I’ve said that before and I’m saying it again, they f**king won’t give you a break,” she rants.

“And this is a reality. So, yeah, think about that before you come to Australia guys.”

Obviously, it’s worth baring in mind that Faye isn’t strolling around the city streets of Melbourne or chilling by the beach in Bondi, she’s out in a national park in a much quieter area with different wildlife.

Although one user did write in the comments: “Flies in Australia are the worst!! Even in the cities. Unbearable.”

Another joked: “Our Australian flies love to welcome non Australians into the country...if you eat a large spoon of Vegemite the flies will leave you alone!”

And a third commented :”It’s only really bad in the outback.”
