If you've ever been to a farm before, you'll know that some of the animals there won't exactly be winning any awards for Best in Show.

That's not to say they don't look like majestic and beautiful animals, it's just that they are subjected to the elements nearly 24/7 and that can cause their coats to look a little dirty and rough.

No farmer would spend time making sure they were fresh as a daisy every time they stepped in a little mud or covered in dust because they would be doing that every single day. But there's a sheep cafe in South Korea (yes, you read that right) and the owners take extraordinarily good care of the animals there.

According to Bored Panda, Thanks Nature Cafe in Seoul is one of the oldest animal cafes in the city and patrons are allowed to sip on warm brews while petting some adorable looking animals in the pen.

To make sure these sheep are looking their best, they regularly get cleaned, showered and blow dried.

That can result in a very, very fluffy looking sheep.

Cafe owner Lee Kwang-ho told The Independent in 2015 that people from all over the world travel to his small eatery and he's delighted every time someone gets to play with the sheep.

"I don't know how this place was known to the world, but I had visitors from all over the world coming to see my sheep, from Macedonia, Saudi Arabia, New Zealand, even some countries I don't know well," he said.

South Korean locals say it beats driving all the way to a ranch to interact with animals.

Lee Hyeon-ji, 21, said: "We were planning to go to a sheep ranch, but it's too far and we didn't have enough time to go there. Then we heard about this place where we can see sheep in Seoul and came to this sheep cafe."

Smart Traveller has ranked the Thanks Nature Cafe as one of the ninth cutest animal cafes in the world - which isn't a bad reputation to have in the slightest.

One woman reviewed the joint on Tripadvisor, saying: "Very cute cosy cafe with great service. The woman that served us was really nice and polite. We went there for breakfast-ish so it was very quite. The food was lovely and the 2 sheep were cute. Definitely going back when I go back to Korea."

Another added: "We had a great time here! Tom and Jerry (sheep) were so fluffy and soft. The food at the cafe was super yummy. You can tell the sheep are well looked after and happy."

If you're into sheep and a cappuccino, then you should mark this place as your first post-pandemic getaway.
