Back in October, Jeremy Clarkson underwent an emergency heart operation.
The Clarkson’s Farm star has been fairly open about the time when he was ‘days from death’ and his health since.
From a suspected slipped disc to suffering from the side effects of Ozempic, the 65-year-old often opens up to his fans about whatever’s been going on with him.

And in a new interview, he’s discussed the various health changes he had to make after the admission that he was ‘days from death’ last year.
When Clarkson underwent the emergency heart op, doctors told the TV star that he needed to exercise and lose weight - with the interviewer describing him as ‘trimmer than he was’.
Surgeons had inserted two stents to prop open the blood vessels as well as telling him to give up high-fat and processed foods.
Change in diet
In a bit of irony, Clarkson has somewhat become the butt of his own jokes (/mockery) has he had to turn to the lifestyle he’s often taken the p*ss off in the past.

For a period, the star perhaps dramatically complained he was only allowed to have lettuce and water and the occasional glass of wheatgrass.
“I’ve eaten grasshoppers and tarantulas, and I once had a seven-day egg that had a bit of beak and an eye in it,” he told The Sunday Times. “All of those things were pretty awful. But nothing, nothing, gets close to the gut-retching dreadfulness of wheatgrass.”
Clarkson’s back on the meat now but he describes it as a ‘mono diet’ as he has it served plain, without his beloved rich sauces.
“The way my doctor here described it, if it has one ingredient, like steak, or egg, it’s fine. But not supermarket lasagne,” he explained.

Less of the booze
While it seems he’s got no plans to go totally sober, Clarkson has cut down on alcohol.

The pub landlord said: “If you go to bed with a clear head, your mind is active, so it chews stuff over and works things out.
“This means you don’t fall asleep till two and you don’t wake up till nine, so you won’t fall asleep the following night till three.”
He describes the abstinence as giving him ‘slow motion jet lag’.

Ozempic and Mounjaro
Clarkson has previously opened up about using Ozempic in a bid to help him lose weight.

He tried out the drug, designed for people with Type-2 Diabetes, a couple of years ago but ‘was sick a lot’. The star ended up putting on ‘half a stone’ and ‘gave up’ with it.
However, he’s since tried out Mounjaro and found better results with it but did struggle with not being able to enjoy his favourite things.
“You find yourself living a minibar existence,” he wrote in his column, joking that a 'handful of sunflower seeds' would be enough to keep him full.
“That’s not living. That’s existing.”
Keeping active
The star previously regarded running as something reserved only for when you're trying to catch a bus or being chased by an animal.

And nowadays he’s running about playing padel on the pickleball court he’s had painted on the farmyard.
