Jeremy Clarkson has revealed when his show Clarkson’s Farm could be set to end after five years of filming.
For TV stars, usually the end of one massively successful series is the end of their career. For many, if they get lucky enough to star in a second, that’s probably the end of the road.
Jeremy Clarkson, however, followed up Top Gear and The Grand Tour with arguably his biggest success yet – Clarkson’s Farm.
The show, which follows the presenter creating and running his own farm, has been a huge success for Prime Video, with a fourth season coming out later this month.
Season four, which follows Clarkson opening a pub to accompany his farm, sees Kaleb Cooper, who became famous from the show, replaced with another farmer due to his newfound fame.
This is not, however, why the former Top Gear star is talking about the end of the show.
Speaking to The Times, Clarkson admitted that production on the show is set to take a break after season five of the show.
Whilst he leaves open the door for season six however, the presenter admitted that his health problems may stand in the way of the show coming back.
He told the outlet: “I’d do a sixth if there was a reason for doing it, like a bloody good story. But if, say, my back turns out to be cancerous then I wouldn’t.”
The 65-year-old had a health scare last year, receiving a heart operation and recently admitting he was ‘days from death’ as a result.
He recently put his back out, and has confirmed that if his health worsens or there isn’t a good story to tell, season five will be the last of the show.
He went on to say: “Whatever happens we’ll definitely take a short break as the crews are all worn out. We’ve been filming here two or three days a week, every week, for five years. Everybody could do with a rest.”
Clarkson went on to address the show’s success, stating it was a surprise due to how different the concept is from Top Gear and The Grand Tour.

I very much was typecast as this man who drove around corners too quickly while shouting and using hyperbole to make a point.
“I thought, why would anybody who watches Top Gear or The Grand Tour want to watch this bucolic show about farming?”
The presenter went on to state that a large part of the success of the show is from people watching a show of his for the first time, with a large audience in China watching the series.
Clarkson stated that this has led to various Chinese tourists coming to his pub and shop, leading him to recently ask a visitor why it’s so popular in China.
Their answer? “We watch it because we cannot believe how incompetent you are.”
Clarkson’s Farm season four releases May 23 on Prime Video.
