Finding something ‘dirty’ at the charity shop might typically mean an old T-shirt with a stain on it, or a tired-out pair of jeans.
But in some cases, the word can have a slightly different meaning. You know, like the time an innocent shop worker left out a set of sex toys for a bargain £2.
And with this man’s purchase, it meant discovering someone’s dirty secrets.

In a viral video, TikTok user @dankeunextgay picked up a router for $15 (£12) from a thrift store and ended up discovering a load of juicy content on a presumed millionaire.
The bloke’s purchase of what he dubbed an ‘Apple Time Capsule’ contained files from its previous owner dating all the way back to 2010.

In the clip, he hooked the device up to his computer as he explained: “I bought this Apple Time Capsule at a thrift store for fifteen dollars.
"It works and the person who donated it did not delete their information off of it before they donated it, so I've connected it to my computer and it's - whoever Don is, I'm sorry Don that I'm going through your s**t - but I have Don's computer and I'm going to update you guys on what I find."

The video racked up millions of views with the caption: “This is [kinda] scary,” as users commented to say it was their ‘biggest nightmare’.
“This is why I keep all of my old devices,” one admitted as another fessed up: “I’m just now remembering that I donated my time capsule without deleting it."
The TikToker later posted a two-minute follow-up about the discontinued device and how it seems to work.
"Instead of having just one backup, it has a whole list of backups. That way, if you want to go back to a certain period, you’re able to just go there instead,” he explained.

“So it’s not just one copy of his computer, it’s dozens from different time periods dating back to 2010.”
From his findings, he claimed that the device belonging to ‘Don’ contained photos dating all the way back to the 1980s,' theorising that he was some kind of business owner or CEO after finding 'audit history, credit card numbers, flight information'.
He then went on to reveal he had the man’s bank account number.
“I can see how much money he had in the bank at one point. I even have his life insurance information, and this dude is worth millions of dollars,” the TikToker added.
“Now, keep in mind, this is from, like, 2010, so he’s probably dead by now. But still, the fact that I have access to this is crazy.”

It certainly seems like quite the warning to make sure you know what you’re giving away as the man said he was going to try and track down Don’s family as he didn’t feel comfortable having the device.
Oh, but he did also say: “And to answer the question that I know that everyone’s gonna ask, there was porn. So there you have it."
