A boss has been hailed as an absolute legend after he surprised all of his employees with a barbecue and pool party on one of the hottest days of the year. Honestly, check the video out for yourself:
The folks who work for Stuart Houston had better be on their best behaviour, because they’re not going to find a much better boss.

Anyway, the roofing company boss decided to let everyone have a paid day off on Monday because it was so hot.
Probably too hot to be doing physical exercise outside, if we’re being honest.
Instead, he set up the car park of HG Roofing Supplies in Leeds with pools, folding chairs, music, games, a barbecue feast and beer.

As Dylan Foster turned up to work, expecting to be toiling away in 33C heat, he started filming.
The video shows two pools full of inflatable toys, burgers and sausages getting ready over the grill, and co-workers enjoying themselves.
There was even a game of badminton taking place between two of his colleagues.

After Dylan shared the video on TikTok, it has been viewed nearly two million times and received loads of comments from people wishing that this was their boss.
One commented: “Top boss, it makes no sense to have people work in this heat.”
Another said: “Nah, your boss is a legend.”
A third wrote: “Your boss understands the assignment. What a legend. I would work twice as hard for a boss like that.”

Dylan explained: “When I turned up to work I thought it was a photoshoot at first from the outside.
“As I walked in it was like something out of Love Island with the swimming pools, barbecue and music with inflatable palm trees.”
As for his boss Stuart, he clearly believes that some things are more important than the bottom line on days like we’ve seen this week.

Also, he hinted that this isn’t the only time he’s done something like this.
Stuart, who is the managing director of HG Roofing Supplies, said: “We made the decision at the end of last week when we knew it was going to be hot.
“We just thought we would treat the lads with a pool party and barbecue, give them a paid day off due to the inclement weather.
“We always try to treat the lads once or twice a year when we can.”
Bosses of the world, take note.
Less working in extreme heat, more pool parties, beer, and barbecues, please.
