Ten signs your partner is sleeping with someone else as Nikki Glaser admits letting boyfriend do it

The stand-up star gets 'revved up' hearing about her other half's rendezvous with other women, but it's not everyones cup of tea

Nikki Glaser has opened quite the can of worms after discussing her unique relationship dynamic.

The comedian, 41, revealed on the Call Her Daddy podcast that she finds it a turn on when her boyfriend, producer Chris Convy, sleeps with other women.

Although this sort of thing really gets Glaser 'revved up', sharing your significant other isn't everyone's cup of tea - but these two decided on this arrangement together.

The stand-up star has given Convy - who she's been dating on-and-off since 2013 - her consent to explore sexual relationships with other women, although she does draw the line at him smooching someone else.

There are probably a lot of couples out there who are divided on this topic, as one might be keen to give an open relationship a go, while the other couldn't think of anything worse.

Hypothetically... the person who proposed opening up their relationship could be having extracurricular fun right under their partner's nose.

Luckily, these kinds of people often display some very suspicious behaviour which can help you catch them out.

Divorce experts at the New Jersey-based law firm Dame Legal have shared a list of the 'quintessential red flags' which suggest that your beloved might be having an affair.

Hiding their phone

If your other half suddenly starts becoming strangely protective of their smartphone, the solicitors say this 'could be a sign that they have their attention focused on someone else'.

If they seem to be acting shifty with their device and get defensive when you challenge them about it, you should consider the fact that they might be hiding something.

Although Glaser is happy to let other women get physical with her fella, she admits 'emotional cheating would hurt' her - so if she found someone blowing up Convy's phone, it would probably be curtains.

Swerving your calls

Being in constant cahoots with the person you love is one of the benefits of being in a relationship, but if they suddenly seem to be too busy for your usual chats, you might want to make a mental note of this.

"If you start to notice a trend, such as them never picking up on a Tuesday afternoon, they might be seeing someone else," the experts at Dame Legal said.

In Glaser and Conwy's case, he has to outline the arrangement they have to any woman he rolls around in the sheets with.

Emotional reactions

'Strange behaviour' - such as flying off the handle or being unusually sensitive - might suggest there is something afoot, Dame Legal reckons.

"Consider how their emotions and reactions may look different than usual when you bring up the possibility of an affair," the experts advised.

This likely isn't an issue for Glaser though, as she wants to know all the gory details about the sex her partner has with others, because that is 'what she is into'.

Sex life switches up

It's the age-old warning sign - if your partner doesn't want to get frisky all of a sudden, it might mean they're getting some from elsewhere.

The lawyers explained that you should also look out for your spouse trying to introduce 'different things' in the bedroom - because they might have learnt it elsewhere.

You should also 'consider your partner's general attitude towards making love', the experts say.

Glaser confessed it makes her 'horny thinking about [Conwy] with other girls' though, so his rendezvous with other women actually injects another degree of passion into their relationship.

Different smells

If your other half comes home ponging of a perfume or aftershave that definitely isn't yours, keep your eyes peeled.

Dame Legal said that although this is something that we often see in movies, 'sometimes these types of scenes happen in reality, too'.

Let's hope that Conwy has the decency not to come home to Glaser honking of another woman's scent, eh?

Unusual effort

Couples get very comfortable with each other after they've been in a relationship for a while - so if they suddenly start making a lot of effort with their appearance, it could be a red flag.

The divorce experts said: "Do they get dressed up when they go out to work or meetings but wear t-shirts with holes for you?

"If so, it could signal your relationship is becoming less important to them and they’re trying to impress someone else."

Secret accounts

As well as opening up their hearts to one another, people in committed relationships often share passwords, bank accounts and all sorts of things.

So if you suddenly stumble across an account, or email address, that you have never heard of, Dame Legal said this can be a 'signal that your spouse is having an affair'.

Cheaters often like to set up separate channels to 'hide communication with someone', so just be wary of this.

Suspicious social media

Being loud and proud about love you feel for your significant other isn't for everyone, however, it might be a red flag if your other half's online persona suggests they're single.

"Consider things like if they comment on your posts when you tag them in photos," Dame Legal continued. "While they might try to keep the relationship private, disengagement on social media can mirror their disinterest in your relationship. Some people are inactive on social media already, but you might notice a change in their activity when they cheat."

Missing money

As we previously mentioned, people in serious partnerships often combine their finances.

If you notice any unusual cash withdrawals or charges being taken from your joint bank account, you should probably do your best Sherlock Holmes impression and take a look into what is going on.

The law firm suggested raising these discrepancies with your partner as well as 'following up on their stories' to see if they slip up.

Telling fibs

Even if you're the most trusting person in the world, you won't be able to ignore the nonsensical stories a cheating spouse comes up with.

Dame Legal pointed out that having an affair involves a lot of lying and the person fooling around also has to 'maintain' these fibs... which can be quite tricky after a while.

"If your spouse’s actions and stories don’t add up and their responses to your questions are defensive and emotional, consider the possibility of an affair," the solicitors suggest.
