"Please, for the love of Christ (and on behalf of everyone of the 26th and 27th floors), shut the f**k up.
“The last thing anyone wants to hear all Saturday night is you too f**k like animals."
Those are the first two lines of a letter one man found on his Tinder date's door and subsequently shared on Reddit.
He had received the letter from an angry neighbour upset about the sex sounds keeping the entire apartment floor awake until the early hours of the morning.
But most were unsympathetic to his situation and felt the post was more of a brag than a call for help.
The full letter read:
Please, for the love of Christ (and on behalf of everyone of the 26th and 27th floors), shut the f**k up.
The last thing anyone wants to hear all Saturday night is you too f**k like animals.
At 5am I expect to be sound asleep, not listening to the sound of moaning and the most aggressive sex I’ve ever heard.
Either lay off the blow or go and see a therapist because this is not normal.
Just so you know the entire floor can hear you.
One Reddit user said the prospect of receiving a letter like that would have horrified them.
They wrote: “I would be absolutely mortified if I got this note, the last thing I would do is post it everywhere."
Another wrote: “Doesn't sound very likely, but bragging about it is kinda cringe."
And another said they had experienced a similar situation... as the angry neighbour.
They wrote: “I've had some really loud neighbours. I've been tempted to leave a note asking them to stop being so loud. Mostly because it sounded painfully fake.
“Like you could tell it was a blatant attempt at letting everyone know they're going at it rather than genuine enjoyment.”
Others chipped in with their own experiences of loud night-time noises from neighbours.
One wrote: ”I'll never forget when I was dating my husband in college, the guy next door brought home a girl and they went at it for HOURS.
“The next day my husband (then boyfriend) stuck a note on his door and (at 18) we found it hilarious.”
