I mean, I doubt it’s where your mind goes when you’re watching porn, but have you ever wondered what they’re actually thinking about?

Sure, they’re getting up to all sorts on camera but it’s work for them. Not to mention the crew behind the cameras, stood there watching it all play out.

Yeah, it's a job for them too but you'd think they're practically having a live show everyday.

An adult film star has explained the surprising thing they actually think about while filming their scenes.

Maitland Ward, first rose to fame playing Jessica Forrester on The Bold and Beautiful before portraying Rachel McGuire on Boy Meets World.

But the 47-year-old retired from mainstream acting in 2007 and since 2019, has been performing in adult films.

Ward has previously spoke about not seeing any stigma around her being a porn star and she sees her move into the industry as a pretty savvy business one.

And while there are some stories and stereotypes about the men who work in the industry, drooling over the stars and obsessing over them.

However, the actor claims the crew she works with have seen that much going on, they aren’t turned on at all.

So, instead of standing behind the cameras having, well, adult thoughts, their minds tend to be very much elsewhere.

“Most of the guys are so bored with it, they’ve seen it all a million times,” she told The Sun.

“They’re probably thinking about what to have for lunch or picking up the kids from school.

“Honestly no one is staring at you drooling, there are no seedy guys jerking off in the corner. It’s a job. We enjoy it, but it’s a job.”

And on that job, there's strict contracts about what can and can't be done in each film.

Ward says there's a misconception that a 'porn set is like some wild orgy 24/7' whereas it's actually 'more controlled than you could imagine'.

"All the sexual positions have to be agreed on, written down, in black and white. You agree in writing to have sex on film and exactly what that sex will be," she explained.

"You have to say you’re not under the influence of anything or anyone."

Ward also calls it a very physically demanding job.

"It’s like a dance routine - like for ice skaters, for example, it’s a routine, you’re performing to the cameras," she compared.
