A man spent eight days in total darkness as he travelled to the ‘centre of the Earth’ during which he made a ‘never seen before’ discovery.
Ruhi Çenet and his team documented themselves as they dived into a five-million-year-old cave. Çenet uploaded a video to YouTube which saw him taking the risk of a lifetime, and people in the comments reacted just as anyone else would- with terror.
The adventurer is known for doing crazy things like this, which is probably why he’s managed to get a following of over 10 million people.

However, this eight-day journey to the 'middle of Earth' proved to be something like no other.
In the video description, Çenet described how the team of explorers ventured ‘into total darkness to determine its exact depth and uncover the secrets of this subterranean marvel’ in Krubera Cave.
This cave is located in Georgia, and saw them ‘face extreme challenges’.

He continued: “Our expedition covers nearly five kilometers of rugged terrain, where we face extreme challenges, including losing an average of 10 kg per person. Along the way, we hope to discover new animal species that have been isolated for millions of years in this hidden world.
“This is not just a journey; it’s a historic exploration into the unknown. Don’t miss the incredible story of survival, discovery, and human perseverance.”
During their adventure, the group managed to accidentally find something that’s 'never been seen before on camera'.

A living creature of sorts.
The adventurer said: “There are sections that have remained a mystery but now their secrets are about to be unveiled.
“He tied a few bait trap bottles to the rope so as not to lose them on their way back, they didn't notice it but the camera captured it - a small completely transparent animal was lurking in the water then another animal showed up but that also went unnoticed.”
He explained: “Fortunately the team managed to capture an exceptionally unique animal in the trap, they also encountered another highly distinct looking animal purely by chance.

“The footage you're seeing has never been captured before, there it is, there is the fish.”
Of course, seeing something like that, which looks like a horror movie, made people have little existential crisis in the comments.
One person wrote: “The first people that squeezed themselves through these holes without knowing how far it went or if they would get stuck are completely insane. You brother, are also completely insane :).”

Another penned: “There isn't enough money in this world that could make me crawl through these caverns. Props to all content creators for risking their lives for this kind of footage <3.”
Someone else said: “This is absolutely wild. Cavers are a whole different breed. The amount of second hand claustrophobia I had watching this was insane. Awesome video.”
