Man reveals surprising changes he noticed after not masturbating for a whole year

No Nut November is on the horizon after all, but what would happen if it lasted a year?

We're getting there; it's about a week until the end of October and the start of 'No Nut November' for many willing participants.

Experts have explained the benefits and effects of putting an end to masturbating altogether in the past, with the month-long challenge set to take the internet over for 30 days straight.

People have shared their own experiences in stopping the habit for an entire month, but one man in particular decided to go one step further.

The YouTuber decided to document his whole experience for his viewers, doing 'NoFap' for an entire year and noting what changes he experienced while abstaining from the act completely.

While you've likely heard of the viral trend before, it usually involves not masturbating over pornography in particular.

Pierre Dalati claimed that he did the challenge for an entire year, adding that the act of 'fapping' isn't all that bad, but doing it while watching porn can often make you 'used to an unrealistic approach'.

But by giving it up, he admitted: “I did notice a benefit of increased focus.

“So instead of constantly being distracted and having it [porn/masturbating] on my mind, I was able to put my full attention and energy into whether I was doing work… whether I was working out in a gym, whatever I was doing in the moment, my focus was enhanced.”

He said that he got a 'confidence boost' after he started living the way he 'should be' instead of looking for and experiencing 'extreme dopamine rushes every single day'.

He added that he 'felt so much more like myself', things were 'much more realistic' in day-to-day situations.

The social media personality said that the first two weeks were the worst as he kept feeling 'the urge' to do it as his drive went 'through the roof', but after this teething period, he started to 'settle down'.

He reported having more energy and productivity in the day while experiencing ‘increased mental clarity’ as getting himself off wasn't constantly crossing his mind like it used to.

After completing the year, he believes that ‘fapping if done in moderation is fine’, saying that listening to your body is the key, only reacting to urges instead of doing it habitually, possibly every day.

However, he admitted that he didn't measure his testosterone levels, so he couldn't confirm any rises or falls, though he feels that he 'maybe did' increase his levels as he felt focused and stronger when working out.

He said it was a 'good experience', going on: “It gives you a new perspective on a day-to-day basis and with the benefits of increased energy, mental clarity, increased productivity, you’ll find that you’re actually doing a lot more in your day.”
