Paragliding instructor soars through the skies while chilling on a couch watching the TV

It's definitely easier to watch TV at home, but each to their own

The less adventurous of us might only ever experience paragliding while watching TV, but instructor Hasan Kaval proved that watching TV can actually be extremely adventurous as he took to the skies on his sofa.

The YouTuber and professional tandem paraglider pilot had seemingly decided that he wasn't as comfortable as he could be as he took to the skies with his wing, so took matters into his own hands.

In a video viewed more than 10 million times, the Kaval showed himself settling in on a sofa to enjoy some good TV, shortly before being pushed down a hill by some mates and becoming airborne.

Kaval performed his stunt with a special setup which involved a specially designed sofa being attached to a frame with a parachute and some wheels.

In a bid to make the flying living room even more cosy, he'd also attached lamp, footstool and TV, ready for the perfect evening amid the clouds.

Once in the air, Kaval took things one step further as he swapped his shoes for some comfy slippers and put his feet up to watch Tom and Jerry with the ocean passing by underneath him.

Simply watching the video might be enough to give you vertigo, but Kaval looks chilled as you like as he sat back on the sofa, tucking into some snacks and enjoying a can of soft drink.

I can think of different ways to relax.

What makes the whole thing even more impressive - or terrifying, depending on how you look at it - is the fact that Kaval wasn't actually strapped on to the sofa, so it's a good job he didn't decide to take a nap.

The YouTuber insisted he wasn't bothered by the risky experience, saying: "I wasn't scared, my friends trusted me. It was fine."

After his trip to the skies, he added: "I felt so good and relaxed."

If Kaval finds that relaxing, maybe he should try watching TV at home, where there's zero risk of falling hundreds of feet into the ocean.

The paragliding instructor decided to go through with the stunt after having 'dreamed' of it for a couple of years, and it paid off with a lot of praise from viewers, including one who described the clip as the 'best video [they] have seen in ages'.
