You can imagine that a well-seasoned therapist has heard all sorts of things, from people’s deepest feelings to their wildest secrets. Surely, they’ve heard everything.
But this psychologist was still left absolutely speechless when she realised the shocking truth about her client. Despite numerous ‘red flags’ nothing could prepare the Australian woman for what followed.
Remaining anonymous for ‘confidentiality clauses’, the mental health professional wrote in to the Toni and Ryan Podcast to share her confession.

She began with a quick red flag: “A patient of mine told me she was sleeping with a married man and the guilt was eating her alive.”
But I guess what would be hot gossip for us is just another day at work for her.
The story continued: “The patient said the man was going to leave his wife for her, but [she was conflicted].”

While the psychologist’s client was falling in love with the man, she felt guilty over ‘being a homewrecker’.
And well, let’s just say this ended up hitting pretty close to home. Because after a couple of days, the therapist’s own husband made a heartbreaking confession himself.
“Later that week, my husband told me he's leaving me for a woman he's been sleeping with,” she said.
Yep, you guessed it, her husband was having an affair with her patient. It was her home being ‘wrecked’.
She explained: “My husband was having a fling with my patient, and I couldn't tell either of them - or anyone - because of the confidentiality clauses, but I need to tell someone and I just need to scream.”

The Aussie podcasters were gobsmacked by the story as Toni simply said what we’re all thinking: “What the f**k?”
And it’s not the first time one of these confession shows have left the hosts speechless as a woman previously admitted to cooking and eating her nan’s ashes.
Ringing into a Melbourne breakfast radio show she explained: “My family and myself were grieving, so we went over to Mum's one night and we thought to cheer her up again… let's eat nan.”

After popping the ashes in a bowl and eating them, the story still gets wilder.
“After I did it once, I got Mum to do it because I didn't want to be alone in it. But that's not the only part of the story… this is the part I've told nobody.”
She explained how her brother returned from prison ‘not too long ago’ so she decided to prank him while he stayed over.
“I put some of nan’s ashes in the pasta sauce,” she said with a giggle.

Wow, well my life seems pretty quiet in comparison to these.
