A truck driver in Australia has shared the massive salary that she makes at her work, which also allows her to spend six months of each year off work.
Basically, Ashlea – who lives in Perth – is what’s known as a Fly In Fly Out or FIFO worker, meaning she spends two weeks straight out in a remote mine, before returning and having two weeks off, usually.
She’s flown out to the site in the middle of nowhere before working as a truck driver, before returning back to her Western Australia home afterwards.

There’s big money in it, too.
Ashlea shares her story on TikTok, where she has frequently been asked about her salary.
She says that while she began as an absolute novice, she’s now climbed the ranks and earns A$110,000 (around £66,000) for just half a year of work.

Ashlea said: "After about three months, my rate went to $43.50 (£24.84) an hour.
"For my first year as a greenie (a truck driver who is still learning), I would have taken about $94,000 (£54k) [home] annually.
"My new rate is about $51.50 (£29.41) an hour so that's pretty good," she added.

It gets even better, too.
Not only does she get a more than adequate wage, the bosses also frequently dish out bonuses for loyalty on a monthly basis.
It’s a significant amount, as well.
Ashlea explained: "And the contracting company I'm with pays you a bonus each month if you stay with them - that's about $2,000 (£1,142).

"Annually, at my $51.50 rate, that would be about $112,000 (£64k) per annum.
"My bonuses could be around $10,000 (£5.7k). So around $122,000 (£70k) for my first year."
Again, that’s for two weeks on the job followed by two straight weeks off.

Sure, it’s not ideal if you want to swap a shift, and there doesn’t seem like a lot of flexibility, but the price is right.
Ashlea obviously thinks so, anyway.
She said: "I think it is pretty good for working only six months of the year as a truckie."
Yep, it’s not too bad.
Ashlea spends the rest of her time – if her TikTok account is to be believed – enjoying herself, eating nice food, and creating content.
On there, she updates her 49,000 followers about her life, as well as shining a light on her slightly unusual job.
It looks like decent work, if you can get it.
