Woman Whose Wife’s Ex-Husband Is Sperm Donor Confuses The Internet
Chantel Vasquez offered an explanation for her family tree after confusing TikTok users.
A mum in the United States has offered an explanation after a video of her wife's ex-husband's wife holding her baby left the internet scrambling to figure out the family tree.
The confusion began earlier this week when Chantel Vazquez shared a video apparently taken from a camera installed inside her home which showed a woman in a rocking chair holding a baby.
Alongside the footage, a caption said that it showed 'my wife's ex-husbands [sic] wife rocking out baby to sleep,' adding: "This is what you call a blended family!"
The seemingly tenuous link between the woman in the video and the baby left many viewers completely baffled, with one person saying they had to read the caption 'like 4 times' while another responded: "I have read the caption three times and now I've given up cos it hurt my head".
After apparently successfully leaving many TikTokers with headaches, mum Chantel decided to share a follow-up video explaining the situation.
In response to one commenter saying the scene was 'confusing as hell', Chantel explained that she and her wife married and had a baby following the dissolution of her wife's previous marriage to a man.
This man, her wife's ex-husband, has since gone on to remarry himself but is still a strong presence in their lives. As a result, so is his new wife. It's this woman who is rocking the baby in the video, but the links don't stop there.
Chantel went on to say that her wife's former husband actually acted as a sperm donor for the same-sex couple, allowing them to have the baby seen in the video.
"He donated his sperm to us two," she said, adding: "Therefore we had that little baby that she over there, all the way to the far left, she is the one rocking the baby. Got it?"
Once internet users had managed to get their heads around the situation they reached out to praise Chantel and her 'blended family' for all managing to get along so well, with one viewer responding: "Thats so awesome, love your family and adulting."
Another commented: "This is the greatest maze! Wonderful how close you all are."
Chantel's family has previously gained attention after appearing on the TLC show You, Me and My Ex, which gave viewers further insight into the relationships between the past and present couples and friends.
