A female bodybuilder was stopped from getting on a plane because of her outfit, claiming the airline said was 'disturbing' the other passengers. She tells her story in the clip below (although be warned, it contains offensive language):
Twenty-six-year-old Deniz Saypinar is a Turkish bodybuilder and fitness model who lives in the US, and said she was shocked when staff at Dallas-Fort Worth airport in Texas stopped her from boarding her flight out to Miami because of what she was wearing.
Of course, it's pretty hot in Texas and Miami at the minute, so she was unlikely to be wearing a full-length coat, right?
The fitness model - who says she moved to the US to avoid the conservatism she has seen in her homeland - was stuck at the airport after American Airlines staff found her fashion sense to be a little bit too much.
Or too little, as the case may be.
She shared an angry post on her Instagram account, writing: "You will never believe what happened to me at Texas Airport."
Saypinar went on to say that she was told she was 'naked' and that her outfit' disturbed other families waiting in the airport.
She wrote: "I am an athlete, and now I have to wait here until the morning.
"I like to wear feminine clothes that reveal my femininity, but I never dress in a way that will offend anyone. I'm mature and civilised enough to know what I can and cannot wear."
As you can see, the outfit consisted of those aforementioned shorts, as well as a brown top and a blouse tied around her.
Saypinar has enjoyed quite a career in bodybuilding, becoming the first woman in Turkey to achieve IFBB (International Federation of Bodybuilding) status.
She also became the first non-American citizen to win the US National Bikini Fitness Competition earlier in 2021.
Reacting to her post, one person wrote: "It is 2021, and there is still a dress code you have to follow to board a plane, of course, only if you are a woman. This is ridiculous."
Another said: "Teach society to respect women, rather than telling women what to wear or what to do."
A spokesperson for American Airlines told LADbible: "On July 8, American Airlines denied boarding for a customer travelling from Dallas-Fort Worth to Miami.
"As stated in the conditions of carriage, all customers must dress appropriately and offensive clothing isn't permitted onboard our flights.
"The customer was advised of our policy and was rebooked on a subsequent flight.
"The customer has since arrived in Miami."
