An American YouTuber has revealed the one 'ridiculous' thing he couldn't get over after dining at a Wetherspoons pub for the first time.
Let's be honest, there's something about Wetherspoons which is just so uniquely British. From the iconic blue floral plates to the impossibly cheap alcohol and e no-fuss meals.
Although spoons hasn't been immune to inflation, three small plates are now £14.93 instead of £10, an evening in one of their many pubs is still considerably cheaper than most places.

The experience is so unique that several tourists have even completed the pilgrimage to a Wetherspoons and try it out for themselves - and it still manages to leave people shocked.
The latest person to engage on this British rite of passage and share the tale is US content creator ItsJps, who shares his experiences in the UK on his YouTube channel.
In one of his most recent videos, Joel visited an unnamed Wetherspoons in York and was blown away by the pub chain's curry and alcoholic drink deal.

After browsing through the menu, Joel was completely baffled by the prices, telling the camera: "To get a classic curry with an alcoholic drink is £10.60. That right there is ridiculous, in my opinion.
"I mean, that's a deal. A meal and a drink for 10 quid. In today's economy, that sounds pretty good."
Joel went on to add that he expected the meal wouldn't be 'like the best curry you've ever had', but at just shy of £11, you can't argue that it's good value for money.
The food prices and alcohol content of the drinks offerings weren't the only things which the vlogger shared his opinion, with Joel later giving his viewers a full rundown of his first ever spoons experience later on in the video. "Alright guys; I've finished up with my first Wetherspoons experience. Overall, I enjoyed it," he said.

"I just had a couple drinks there so it wasn't much to judge honestly."
The content creator was left a little confused by the absence of music and TV screens in this particular pub, noting that the only entertainment offerings were 'three slot machines', but on the whole he summarised his visit as a 'really nice' experience.
If the price of a curry and alcoholic drink left Joel speechless, then we can only imagine what he'd think about the new breakfast deal. Introduced earlier this month at 650 pubs across the country, the new smaller breakfast option allows punters to enjoy a small breakfast - which consists of a fried egg, bacon, Lincolnshire sausage, baked beans and hash brown - for just £2.99 instead of the previous £4.45.
