Baba Vanga, the blind Bulgarian woman who died almost 30 years ago, made a bunch of predictions for 2025, including one 'devastating global event' which has already happened.
Take the art of prophecy and prediction with enough salt to dry out the corpse of an Egyptian Pharaoh, because lots of people can say all sorts of vague stuff and claim it as proof they know what they're doing when something tangentially related happens.
Baba Vanga, real name Vangeliya Pandeva Gushterova, is supposed to have correctly predicted the 9/11 attacks, Brexit and even Princess Diana’s death, all of which happened after her death in 1996.

She's foretold a 'devastating global event', and one of her predictions of catastrophe in 2025 has already come true after claiming that this year there would be 'shattering earthquakes'.
That's what happened in Myanmar and Thailand last month, so she did at least get that one correct.
As for her other tips for 2025, a lot of them are portents of something pretty miserable.
War in Europe

A bit late to this one, Baba.
Unless of course she means that the current Russian invasion of Ukraine is going to spill out into a conflict which engulfs the entire continent.
Baba Vanga also unfortunately has an eye for war, so that’s not great news for us.
She reportedly predicted that one will break out in Europe this year which will be big enough to 'devastate' the entire continent and its population.
Cheery stuff, eh?
Aliens

Advert
Again, Baba Vanga has a history with aliens and alien invasions and 2025 is apparently the year we’ll learn more - and it will coincide with a major sporting event.
Now, this hasn't happened yet and there's a lot of the year to go, but scientists have discovered the 'best signs' of life on another planet, even if it's just some very small marine life.
I, for one, welcome our new phytoplankton overlords.
Human telepathy

Advert
A mind is a terrible thing to lose and a dangerous thing to read, you never know what you might find.
It's said that Baba Vanga also believed telepathy would become a real thing in 2025.
Maybe this isn't in the Professor X type of mind reading, but using thoughts to communicate with other things, such as with a brain chip.
These predictions were already incredibly vague, so we've got to be generous with them to make it work.
Lab-grown human organs

Advert
So, she’s predicted something like this before where she thought humans would be grown in labs, but 2025 is supposed to be the year we see human organs grown instead.
This could actually be fantastic for science and medicine.
Baba Vanga is actually late to the party on this one, we've been growing tiny versions of human organs in labs since before 2025 for the purposes of medical research.
A new source of energy

According to Baba Vanga, 2025 will apparently see us discover a new form of energy even though she didn’t specify what it would be.
Over in China, they've been working on an experimental nuclear reactor that uses thorium, so maybe that's it.
However, the ‘Living Nostradamus’ shared he thought it would be nuclear fusion.
Lewis Hamilton will win his eighth World Championship

Baba Vanga reportedly had some big things predicted for Lewis Hamilton, despite him only being 11 years old when she died.
It's said the blind mystic 'believed' 2025 will be the year for Hamilton as his move to Ferrari will see him win his eighth title in 2025 and overtake Michael Schumacher.
While sources aren’t backing this one up, it’s still pretty cool that Hamilton’s name is coming up when it comes to Baba Vanga, though she probably didn't mention him by name.
At the moment, it's looking likely that she got it wrong, considering Hamilton has had a pretty poor start to the F1 season following a move to Ferrari that's still got some teething problems.
Can't call them all, eh Baba?
