We've all gone through our own experiences of a bad first impression, whether at school, work, or meeting new people - it's just a part of life.
But one of the worst things to experience is messing up on your first day at a new job, because it feels like there's almost no coming back from it - it becomes your label until you can shake it off.
Whether it be falling for a scam message (definitely not based on a true story), not getting the company culture at first, saying something out of pocket or weird, you can usually rally and move on.

But sometimes, things are said or done that are unforgivable, and can cause people to be sacked on the spot on their first day.
In fact, people on social media have begun to discuss their own encounters with people that lost their jobs on their first day, as the bizarre stories were posted on a very interesting Reddit thread.
Someone asked: "People who’ve seen someone get fired on the first day, why were they fired?"

it's safe to say that the replies didn't fail to disappoint, from someone jumping into a cardboard baler as a joke to a dishwasher literally soiling himself on the job, there were a lot of admissions to behold.
But one stood head and shoulders above the rest, garnering many replies and a pretty high shock factor.
"Homeboy was allowed to play music on Bluetooth for the restaurant on the first day," the user wrote - doesn't sound too bad yet, right?
Well, they continued: "[He] went to the bathroom and started watching p**n and forgot he was still on the speakers. Hilarity and dismissal ensued."

An occurrence that is only ever seen in viral skits or videos on TikTok, forgetting to disconnect from the speakers can be disastrous, but doing it at work is some next level stuff.
One replied: "Okay, I'm just gonna say it: if someone watches p**n in the bathroom at work, they have a problem," which garnered 3.5k upvotes.
Another joked: "P**n? That’s a nude egg I won from my game."

A third simply put: "What the hell..."
A different user posted: "How the hell does he not notice the sound isn’t coming from the speakers?"
A fifth replied: "Maybe the bluetooth speakers were so loud he could hear them just fine in the toilet, and just assumed it was coming from his phone..."
It's a truly insane story, though one user highlighted what many of us were thinking while reading the thread, saying: "This one is my favourite," with a laughing emoji.
