A mum was left seriously confused after looking over the questions on her young daughter’s homework sheet.
Mum Royce Winnick, from New York in the US, was left absolutely stumped after checking her five-year-old daughter’s kindergarten homework - and insists the other adult members of her family had no clue, either.
Right, let’s try and work this out together - so, the worksheet focuses on the letter T and has a section where the kid is supposed to ‘tap out the word in the picture and write out the sounds you hear’, whatever that means.

We then have four little drawings - the first three are clear enough, a ‘tub’, the number ‘ten’ and a ‘top’. But the fourth drawing is of five rabbits, which is the one that had Royce and her daughter completely puzzled.
In her frustration the mum took to Facebook to ask if anyone else could help them get to the bottom of the question, asking: “Anybody know this answer to my daughter’s kindergarten homework?”
The mum, who shared the post back in 2017, said suggestions soon flowed in including ‘thumper’, ‘twins’ and the more tongue-in-cheek ‘twabbit’.

In the end, the youngster put ‘Pet’ as her answer, which her teacher marked as ‘OK’, although Royce says she was told it was incorrect.
So, what was the answer? “The real answer was ‘vet’ which makes no sense!” Winnick told HuffPost. I mean, she’s right.
And the confusing questions didn’t end there; Royce shared another similar worksheet with HuffPost, adding: “But she did have another sheet similar that also had ridiculous answers,”
This time it was all about the letter K - and again, the first two cartoons seem simple enough: one is a kid holding a balloon, so the answer is ‘kid’, obviously, and the next is a medical kit, so the answer is ‘kit’.

The third picture, though, is a slightly creepy bunch of people all crammed into a small circle, and the fourth is a dark-haired smiling guy wearing a shirt and tie. Any guesses on what the K answers may be for those two? No? Well, me either.
But Royce knows: the first is supposed to be ‘kin’, so clearly they’re meant to be a family and the second? ‘Ken’. I’m not really sure how a kid is supposed to know that the man’s name is Ken, but here we are.
Royce asked: “Again, how is a five-year-old supposed to know that?”

Very good point, Royce.
