Things got pretty heated on The Chase after a contestant was called a 'maggot' by a teammate for taking a minus offer. Watch the incredible scenes below:
As usual, host Bradley Wash was in top form on the ITV show as he dropped questions on Lee, Sue, Lynsey and Duncan, who had a pot of £31,000.

Up stepped contestant Lee, who incorrectly answered his question: "In what month is Europe Day celebrated."
Out of 'January', 'May' and 'September', the correct answer was 'May' and Lee's wrong answer saw the pot go down to £28,000.
However, things turned sour when Lee decided to take a minus offer, despite Duncan having won £21,000 for the pot.
Walsh noticed the devastating look on Duncan's face and joked: "There you go, giving him the cold shoulder. Duncan's giving him the cold shoulder."

To which Duncan replied: "I've got nothing to say to the maggot."
Ouch.
For those unaware, a 'maggot' is 'a soft-bodied legless larva of a fly or other insect, found in decaying matter'.

Quite the insult, I know.
As the resurfaced video went viral on TikTok, viewers were clearly divided in the comments while many could understand the contestant's frustration.
One user commented: "Imagine going on the chase a once in a lifetime thing and take the minus offer."
Another added: "We’d all be Duncan in this situation don’t lie."

While a third person also said: "I'm with Duncan, nobody should go low, at least take back what you put in."
Someone else agreed: "It’s an unwritten rule that you shouldn’t do that."
Other viewers weren't best pleased with Duncan's comment and would have liked to have seen him get wound him up even more.
As one person said: "I hope they ended up losing just to annoy Duncan even more."

"I’d hate to have a beer with Duncan," another added.
And a third wrote: "If I get the jackpot counter in drop zone 1, I'm going drop zone 4 just to annoy Duncan."
To those who have never watched the show, the way it works is a team of four contestants attempt to amass as much money as possible for a team kitty by answering quick-fire questions in a 60-second round.
"Each correct answer earns the contestant £1,000," a synopsis reads.
"The money earned will go towards the team kitty, but there is one person standing in their way: a quiz genius known as The Chaser.
"The Chaser's job is to catch each contestant and make sure the players are not able to put the money into the kitty which the team must collectively play for in 'The Final Chase'."
