Aimee Lou Wood was not left laughing over a Saturday Night Live (SNL) sketch that mocked her teeth.
The Sex Education star has had a string of impressive roles over recent years, having wowed in both Toxic Town and The White Lotus this year so far already.
But yet a whole load of the talk has been about Wood’s gnashers and she recently admitted to GQ magazine that it was making her 'a bit sad because I’m not getting to talk about my work'.

And while it made her 'happy that it’s symbolising rebellion and freedom', the 31-year-old pointed out that 'there’s a limit'.
SNL seems to have pushed that though, as a skit on Saturday (12 April) saw Donald Trump and his team spending time at the fictional White Lotus hotel.
The characters from the hit HBO series were spoofed as the US president’s top team, as episode host Jon Hamm did Robert F. Kennedy Jr as Walter Goggins’ character Rick.
He was joined by Sarah Sherman as Wood’s character Chelsea.

She only had a few lines, but used a pronounced accent and wore a set of fake teeth to exaggerate what the Manchester-born actor refers to as her 'big gap teeth'.
At one point, Sherman said during the sketch: “Fluoride, what’s that? Oh look, a monkey!”
Reacting to the sketch on Sunday, Wood took to Instagram Stories to say: "But whilst in honest mood – I did find the SNL thing mean and unfunny xo."
The star said that she was ‘not thin skinned’ and understood that the US live sketch comedy show was about ‘caricature’.

"But the whole joke was about fluoride," she wrote. "I have big gap teeth not bad teeth."
"The rest of the skit was punching up," Wood added, "and I/Chelsea was the only one punched down on."
After her initial post, she said many people had reached out to her in agreement that it was in bad taste as she said she’s glad she spoke up about it.
"Such a shame [because] I had a great time watching it a couple weeks ago," Wood continued. "Yes, take the piss for sure — that’s what the show is about — but there must be a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way?"

Joining in with the jokes though, she added a slam on Sherman’s accent as she said: "I respect accuracy even if it’s mean."
About an hour or so after the posts, Wood posted again to say she’d 'had apologies from SNL'.
