Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's 18-year-old daughter Shiloh has filed a court petition to legally drop her father's last name.
During their marriage. actors Jolie, 48, and Pitt, 60, were one of Hollywood's biggest power couples, after infamously sparking their romance on set of their 2005 film Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
However, their relationship would later turn sour, with the couple divorcing in 2016.
It would appear that in the years following the separation, Pitt's children have grown distant from him, despite the pair initially agreeing on joint custody of their children.

The latest to distance herself is their second eldest daughter Shiloh, who reportedly marked her 18th birthday on 27 May by filing a court petition to drop Pitt form her name (according to TMZ).
Shiloh isn't the first of Pitt and Jolie's children who has opted to move away from her fathers image in the past couple of years.
She follows younger sister Vivienne, 15, who was recently credited as 'Vivienne Jolie' in the musical The Outsiders, which she helped her mum produce.

Her older sister Zahara, 19, also appears to have unofficially dropped Pitt as a surname, previously introducing herself as Zahara Marley Jolie after she joined Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Spelman College in 2023.
However, it is not known if Zahara and Vivienne have legally dropped the name Pitt.
Jolie and Pitt share six children together, including biological children Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox, also 15, alongside adopted children Zahara, Maddox, 22, and Pax, 20.
Meanwhile, Jolie and Pitt are yet to reach a final settlement in their divorce. In the years following their separation, the former couple have been embroiled in a series of bitter disagreements over their shared business ventures, which recently involved the sale of a joint-owned winery in France.

The divorce has also seen Jolie make allegations of abuse against her former husband.
Following documents filed by Pitt in 2022 that sued Jolie for her decision to sell her half of their vineyard Chateau Miraval to a Russian oligarch, a move which he claimed violated their agreement not to sell their respective interests in the property without the other parties' consent.
Joile later responded by filing a lawsuit in October 2022, which alleged that Pitt had become abusive towards her on a flight from France to California in 2016, prior to her filing for divorce. Pitt later denied the allegations of abuse.
