Billie Eilish once shared an image which caused her to lose a whopping 100,000 Instagram followers in just one hour.
After going viral as a teenager with her viral hit ‘Ocean Eyes’ back in 2015 (where has the time gone?), the singer has been catapulted into the pop music stratosphere with three number one albums and won multiple Grammy Awards for her work.
Hell, Eilish is even a two-time Oscar winner thanks to her songs 'No Time to Die' and 'What Was I Made For?'.

So it's fair to say that Eilish has successfully cemented her place as one of the biggest pop voices of the generation at the age of 23.
But with huge notoriety comes an equally large amount of responsibility.

And this is something which Eilish would discover back in 2020.
The 'Birds of a Feather' singer was taking part in a viral 'post a picture' challenge on the social media platform, with Eilish's prompt being 'a drawing you’re really proud of'.

She responded by sharing a series of pencil sketches which included her take on the naked female form, alongside the addition of several snakes.
"These probably lol I love boobs," Eilish added in the caption.
Take a look at the drawing in question below:

Despite the sketches simply portraying the naked female body, when you're an internationally famous pop star with millions of followers, any opinion you share will offend at least one person somewhere in the world.

And for Eilish this would mean losing 100,000 followers in just one hour, which didn't make a large dent in the 70 million plus she had at the time, but still, the scandal.
Eilish thankfully didn't seem too bothered by offending 100,000 social media users, with the star reacting to a post which revealed the comparison of her follower count pre and post 'boob-gate'.
"LMFAOOO y’all babies smh," she commented.
The drawings haven't had too big of an impact on Eilish's social media presence either, considering that she now has a 124 million strong follower count.

The hit-maker has always been pretty open in regards to her views on sex, even calling it her 'favourite subject matter' in an interview.
"I basically talk about sex any time I possibly can. That’s literally my favourite topic," Eilish told Rolling Stone in 2024, adding that she believes attitudes towards women and sex need to change.
"I think it’s such a frowned-upon thing to talk about, and I think that should change," she said.
