The reporter who shared her awkward interview with Blake Lively has a theory on why the actor was ‘rude’ to her.
It’s been drama central during the press tour for new film It Ends With Us as controversy surrounds Lively and her co-star and director Justin Baldoni, who has reportedly hired a PR crisis manager amid feud rumours.
So, as the messy Hollywood drama unfolds and does the rounds of social media, a journalist decided to drop an old clip of her chat with the Gossip Girl actor.

Way back in 2016 (yes, a roughly eight-year-old interview), Norwegian journalist Kjersti Flaa chatted with Lively and Parker Posey ahead of the release of Woody Allen's rom-com Café Society.
Sharing the old chat while much of the internet turns against the actor, the reporter posted with the caption: “The Blake Lively interview that made me want to quit the job.”
Flaa described it as the ‘most uncomfortable interview situation’ she’s ever experienced and it all spiralled after she got off on the wrong foot with the star.

She congratulated Lively on her ‘little bump’ as it was around the time she was pregnant with her and Ryan Reynold’s daughter Inez.
But instead of accepting the congratulations, the actor seemed to sarcastically respond with the same: “Congratulations on your little bump.”
Flaa tried to recover the awkwardness by asking about the clothes in the film, but that just made things worse with Lively saying: “Everyone wants to talk about the clothes but I wonder if they would ask the men about the clothes.”

Now, jumping on YouTube show Popcorned Planet, the journalist was asked why she thinks the actor was so ‘offended’.
“I don’t know if she was offended, I think she was just, like – she didn’t want to be there and she didn’t want me to be there,” Flaa explained.
“And I think she was just being in a bad mood and I don’t know if me congratulating her on her pregnancy made her in such a horrible mood that she felt she had to punish me.”
The Norwegian called the interview ‘awful’ as she went on to send a message to Lively.
“But I think for her it would be good and for other people, or her fans – her previous fans – to know she’s not really this person,” she said.

"If she wants to apologise, I will definitely expect it.”
However, while some say the actor was ‘rude’ during the interview, many others have defended Lively as they say the bump statement itself was ‘rude’ and if it was so necessary to acknowledge the pregnancy, it could have been done with more ‘respect’.
LADbible previously reached out to Lively's reps for comment.
