Reporter releases Blake Lively interview moment that made her feel 'uncomfortable' and want to quit her job

It Ends With Us star Blake Lively has been called out for her interview conduct by a Norwegian journalist

Some things are never meant to see the light of day - and people reckon this Blake Lively interview is a prime example.

The California-born actress, 36, has landed herself in hot water with fans after footage of an extremely awkward interview from 2016 reared its head.

And when I say reared its head, I mean that the disgruntled reporter who got the cold shoulder off Lively during the chat decided to release it, while revealing that the tense encounter even left her considering a career change.

Norwegian journalist Kjersti Flaa decided to share the video on YouTube of her sitting down with the It Ends With Us star and Parker Posey ahead of the release of Woody Allen's 2016 rom-com Café Society.

Although the chat lasted for just four minutes, it has clearly haunted the interviewer, 51, for the last eight years of her life if her captions are anything to go by.

Flaa titled the viral clip: "The Blake Lively interview that made me want to quit my job."

Describing it as the 'most uncomfortable interview situation she has ever experienced', the journalist explained that she got off on the wrong foot with Lively - and never managed to recover from it.

In the footage, Flaa can be heard greeting Lively and Posey before then congratulating the Gossip Girl star on her pregnancy, saying: "First of all, congrats on your little bump!"

It is believed that the interview took place sometime before July 2016, when the actress was expecting her second child - who was born in September that year - with her husband Ryan Reynolds.

Rather than thanking Flaa for her well wishes, Lively instead responded by saying 'congrats on your little bump', despite the fact the journalist was not visibly pregnant.

As if things couldn't get any worse, the 36-year-old star then derailed the interviewer's attempt to change the subject by discussing the costumes in Café Society, as the film is set in the 1930s.

While Flaa tried to ask their opinion of the old-school outfits, Lively interrupted her and said: "Everyone wants to talk about the clothes, but I wonder if they would ask the men about the clothes?"

Despite the journalist insisting she would have asked male cast members the same question, it appeared as though she had already dug herself a hole in Lively's eyes which she couldn't get out of.

Clearly still bemused by why there was so much friction in the conversation, Flaa wrote alongside the clip: "Is it not ok to congratulate someone on their pregnancy or to ask another woman about costumes she is wearing in a film?"

Social media users then flooded the comment section with their thoughts and feelings about Lively's conduct.

One said: "I can't believe how rude Blake Lively is."

Another wrote: "When she immediately pretended to be offended by the clothes question? Insane behavior. Really showing her true colours."

While a third added: "This gave me flashbacks to how I was bullied in high school. It's a weird type of bullying where you're constantly put down then ignored. Props to the interviewer for keeping it cool."

After the video began circulating widely, Flaa then took to her Instagram Stories to thank people for their support.

She wrote: "Thank you to all you wonderful people out there who have sent me so many messages with support after I posted this interview. I am truly touched."
