Many stars of Gogglebox past and present will always be national treasures in my eyes.
Especially the OG duo Sandi Bogle and Sandra Martin.
And the former Goggleboxer Sandra has been left heartbroken this week as she announced a sad loss.

Sandra has had a difficult few years of losing her loved ones.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the star shared she’d lost five people close to her.
Back in April 2020, she shared a video to social media, breaking down as she announced her sister-in-law’s daughter sadly passed away.

Tragedy continued to strike for Sandra as she also lost a friend, a friend’s dad, her sister-in-law and uncle during the pandemic.
She explained to Metro.co.uk at the time that her sister-in-law had underlying health issues.
“When I found out I started to cry and my daughter told me to pack my bags so I am staying with her in Brixton at the moment,” she shared.

“My friend’s dad died first, then my brother’s wife died, my uncle died and my good friend from Brixton died, it is all so tragic. What is going on?”
Sandra first appeared on our screens in the very first season of Gogglebox on Channel 4, way back in 2013.
She was paired up with her bestie, Sandi, until she left the popular show in 2016.
Sandra stayed on, joined by her daughter Chanchez Martin but then left the series two years later.
She confirmed her departure during a This Morning interview, where she said she’d miss Gogglebox but ‘decided at the time I wanted to move on to other things’.
She expressed some regret about cutting her journey on the show short and told The Sun: “I could’ve stayed, they offered me real money, but s**t happens.”
