For thousands of students across the country, it's one of the most nerve-wracking days of their life. For Jeremy Clarkson, it's an opportunity to tweet.
You can't guarantee much in life. We don't know who will win the women's World Cup, or whether the Elon Musk versus Mark Zuckerberg fight will ever actually go ahead, but when A-Level results day rolls around we know for sure that the Clarkson's Farm presenter will be there in our feeds, talking about the day he received his own exam grades.

Come rain or shine, hell or high water, Twitter or X, it will happen - and this year is no different.
Clarkson isn't even in the country - he's currently enjoying a getaway with his family - but he obviously keeps track of the day students in the UK flood to the UCAS website, keen to find out how they did on their exams.
Students were able to find out their results from 8am today (17 August), and after giving people a solid nine minutes to receive and digest their results, Clarkson took to Twitter with his not-so-humble brag.
I'm surprised he even waited that long, to be honest. He almost definitely had it ready to go at 8am.

The tweet is designed to encourage anyone who didn't get the results they might have been hoping for, because - if you didn't know this already - Clarkson didn't do too well on his own exams back in the day.
In fact, he got a C and 2 Us. I don't even need to look at his tweet to tell you that: it's simply engrained in my memory.
Obviously, though, Clarkson ended up doing pretty well for himself, and every year he uses A-Level results day to remind people about it.

This year, his tweet read: "It’s not the end of the world if your A level results aren’t what you’d hoped for. I got a C and 2 Us and here I am today with my own brewery."
A round of applause, ladies and gents.
Clarkson's followers were obviously delighted to see the annual tweet arrive, with one person commenting: "Every single year I wait for this tweet and every single year I’m not disappointed."

Another added: "My favourite annual tweet is here."
For a lot of nervous students, the tweet provided a welcome reprieve from the stress caused by the UCAS site crashing this morning as people rushed to log on.
"UCAS site is crashing but the Jeremy Clarkson tweet is utterly reliable," one satisfied customer commented.
I hope everyone got the results they were hoping for today, but if not, just remember that you too could still end up with your own brewery one day. Or whatever your version of Clarkson's success looks like.
