As fans around the world marked Robin Williams’ birthday yesterday, the comic’s son shared a touching tribute to his late father.
Uploaded to Twitter on what would have been his dad’s 72nd birthday, Zak Williams spoke about the actor’s ‘mischievous grin’.
It comes nearly a decade after the Jumanji actor’s sudden passing in 2014.

The touching tweet was accompanied by a photo of Williams in Good Morning Vietnam, showing the iconic smile his son spoke about.
In the caption, Zak wrote: “Happy 72nd Dad! Was remembering how much I used to love that look you’d give.”
He continued: “That look with a mischievous, loving grin that your friends and loved ones knew so well.

“Joyous and curious and wondrous. Miss you and love you forever!”
Despite the tragic circumstances around the post, it’s quickly gone viral, with over three million views on the social media platform.
Among those who read the tweet, many shared kind messages with Zak, including actor Ben Stiller who left a simple blue heart.

Meanwhile, others spoke about meeting with Williams before his untimely passing, with users recalling how wonderful the actor was to be around.
One comment read: “I was able to hang out with him a couple of times and he was so kind and sincere.”

As part of Disney’s 100th-anniversary celebrations, fans will be able to see previously unreleased footage of the A-Lister as Genie in a new animation.
The short clip will also have Frozen’s Olaf and will be shown at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France.
