Channing Tatum shares series of cryptic posts as Zoë Kravitz announces Harry Styles engagement

It's rarely easy to see one of your old flames move on and the temptation to share cryptic messages on social media is sometimes too strong, even for a man as handsome and famous as Channing Tatum.

The Magic Mike star thought he'd already experienced his 'worst nightmare' when he was asked to film nude scenes 'without a thong' for the first time during the 2025 film Roofman but it seems as if recent events might well have affected the 46-year-old even more.

You see, Tatum was previously set to marry Zoë Kravitz but the pair called things off in 2024 when they were no longer seeing eye to eye, and Kravitz is now rumoured to be engaged to Harry Styles, who will no doubt get along famously with her father, the legendary musician Lenny.

Although a source has suggested that Tatum was happy for his ex, there's undoubtedly a correlation between that news and some of his recent social media posts.

The American posted his first cryptic message last week, which involved a poem by writer John Roedel.

It reads: “My brain and / heart divorced / a decade ago / over who was / to blame about / how big of a mess / I have become.

“Eventually, / they couldn’t be / in the same room / with each other."

That wasn't to be the end of the actor's Instagram activity however, as more recent messages have included a video of a seal floating in the water, with the caption: “The level I’m at of letting go and trusting in the flow of the universe.”

Tatum, later shared a post which featured a female fighter with a bruised and bloody face, admitting, “Didn’t go the way I wanted.

“I enjoyed the whole process. … I’m still happy that I went all five rounds. I’m feeling amazing. Just so happy to be here.”

A quick look at his stories also reveals some bizarre AI videos where classic films have been altered, as well as some artistic images including a pink bear asking people to follow their dreams. I suppose that's better than the dreaded drunk text.

However, a source told Page Six that while he was initially caught off guard by the reports of her engagement, 'he didn’t really think too much about it'.

“He hasn’t heard anything directly and they’re not in regular contact, but if Zoë is happy, he’s happy for her,” the insider added.

Kravitz was in attendance at last night's Met Gala event in New York but cleverly kept her hands in her pockets to hide away any potential ring that would officially confirm her nuptials to the former One Direction man, although the hiding itself might give you a clue as to what's going on.
