Robert Downey Jr. called on the Avengers to help him assemble a speech to celebrate Chris Hemsworth being awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week - but it was more amusing than action packed for once.
The Iron Man icon, 59, managed to leave the crowd in stitches after sprinkling in a few light hearted taunts while praising his Australian pal for his acting achievements on Wednesday (22 May).
He was among Hemsworth's nearest and dearest who turned out to support him at the legendary landmark in Los Angeles, after the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce honoured him for his incredible contributions to motion pictures.

The Thor star was joined by his wife Elsa Pataky and their three children, India Rose, 12, and twin sons Sasha and Tristan, 10, as well as Downey Jr., Mad Max director George Miller and his Furiosa co-star, Anya Taylor-Joy.
Addressing the crowd, Downey Jr explained that he had called on some members of the Marvel cast - including Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans - to help him craft a memorable speech.
He asked his fellow superheroes to help him describe Hemsworth in three words, which resulted in some quite humorous answers that were more comical than complimentary.

Downey Jr began: "What is Chris Hemsworth?
"Renner says, 'Absurdly, annoyingly amazing'. Ruffalo came in strong with 'friend from work'.
"Scarlett got to the heart of it with 'sensitive leading lady'. Captain America calls him the 'second best Chris'.
"And I’ll bring it to the here and now: There is no one who deserves it more. He is 'Hollywood star recipient.'"

After delivering a healthy dose of teasing to Hemsworth, Downey Jr's speech took a more serious tone as he paid tribute to his Avengers co-star's achievements and dubbed him the 'real deal'.
He continued: "I wrote all of my comments myself, which is why they are going to be quite insightful and brilliant.
"Beyond the cape and the hammer is a contagious Aussie charm. You are a remarkable human being.
"You are a legend. Chris is a bit daunting to describe. He’s very elusive because of the pretty packaging.

"However, upon further inspection…down under…he has a true wit and depth of soul and it has been my sincere pleasure to know you," Downey Jr. said.
"You keep us Hollywood folk on our toes because you're just a real deal."
Discussing Hemsworth's latest project, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, which has been released today, Downey Jr said he 'cannot wait' to see the flick and added that he reckons 'this is going to be the film of 2024'.

Hunger Games actor Hemsworth showed off his transformation into his character Dr Dementus earlier this week.
Hilariously, the Aussie admitted that his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame had been a long time coming - as he thought he was getting one way back in 2019.
He told Variety that the cast of the Avengers: Endgame were asked to put their handprints in cement outside of the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood, so he put two and two together and reckoned a star was incoming.
"I thought that was the Walk of Fame! So when we did it, I thought, ‘Oh cool, I’m getting a star'," Hemsworth laughed.
"And someone told me, ‘No, that’s not what this is.’ I went along with it like I completely knew what was happening. It was kind of afterwards, I was like, ‘So, where’s the star?'"
