Chrissy Teigen has been forced to defend herself after fans called out a 'disgusting' detail in her bath video.
Teigen's husband John Legend uploaded the intimate clip to his Instagram account on Monday (17 June), showing his wife scrubbing her naked body in the tub.
"What is happening here?" the singer-songwriter questioned, as Teigen proceeded to wash herself in what appeared to be very dirty bath water.

"Getting all my body makeup off," she replied, as an orange ring could be seen forming around the sides of the bathtub.
Fans were, of course, weirded out by the clip and it wasn't just because Legend had decided to upload a clip of his wife naked in the bath, with his followers left grossed out by the discoloured water.
"IDGAF if it is makeup. It looks dirty," one user wrote, as another added: "She need[s] to let that dirty water drain before posing on social media."

"Did she have like a kg of makeup on?" a third asked.
After reading the comments, Teigen felt the need to defend herself, reiterating that she wasn't bathing in dirty water but instead exfoliating her skin to remove body makeup.
"The water is dirty because I’m getting my body makeup off, like I said in the video my sweet angels," she wrote.

Despite the 38-year-old model defending herself in the comments Legend's followers still weren't impressed, reminding the pair that they don't need to post every part of their lives on social media for us to see.
"This could’ve stayed in John’s phone," one person wrote, while another user declared that they would be 'unfollowing' him due to the post.
"She didn’t have to sit in a bath tub of water to exfoliate her body… yuck," a third person wrote.
"Btw not everything is meant for social media!!"

Legend had used the divisive clip as a sport of guerrilla marketing to plug his skincare brand Loved 01, with the musician zooming in on the product towards the end of the clip.
Although promoting your skincare brand with dirty water may seem like a strange choice, it clearly worked for Legend as one follower revealed they weren't aware of the brand until now.
"I was today years old when I found out John Legend has a skincare brand," they wrote.

Despite the unorthodox social media posts, the couple are still going strong after 11 years of marriage.
Teigen and Legend first began dating in 2007 after meeting on the set of the music video for his song 'Stereo' in 2006. They later married in Lake Como in 2013 and currently share four children together.
