Amid all the plaudits are viewers who have praised Becks for a 2019 resurfaced clip from the Late Late Show, a show known for its pranks on big-name celebs.
One of the more memorable pranks from Corden's time on the programme sees what was supposed to be the grand unveiling of a statue of Goldenballs outside LA Galaxy, his former club.
Although Becks said the idea of a statue was a 'dream come true', he certainly was not expecting Corden and his team to hijack it.

During the final preview of the statue, the football icon is brought to LA Galaxy's stadium, where he meets and greets various fans - all of whom are actors, with their sole purpose being to wind him up.
With James chatting in their ears, the actors continue to press all of Beckham's buttons - with one bloke standing out in particular.
First, he goes straight in with a slur on the team that made him famous.

Congratulating him on his career, he says: "Back in your Man City days, it kind of paralleled my career a lot," to which Becks, looking visibly pissed off, interjects: "Man United days."
Beckham then meets the fake sculptor, comedian Maz Jobrani, who is dressed up as genuine sculptor, Omri Amrany.
Then comes the unveiling of the statue itself, which looks absolutely horrific, to say the least.
However, what shocks viewers the most is how polite Beckham is during the whole process.

Clearly not pleased with the statue, Becks seemingly doesn't lose his cool and reacts unbelievably.
His first reaction is that his Mum and Dad are coming over to see it and he looks genuinely gutted.
Finally, out pops Corden with his trademark laugh - and Becks yet again gracefully accepts the pranking - although also displays a fair amount of relief that it's not actually going to be on display. What a guy.

Viewers were stunned by Beckham's reaction, with one person writing: "I have huge respect for David Beckham now. He handled that about as good as any human could. Kudos to him for being so kind."
"If you didn’t know it before, now you know it for sure that David Beckham is an absolute gentleman. This is how to lose your temper politely," a second added.
"Never in my life witnessed an adult man with this gentle soul, my God what a legend," a third thought.
