David Beckham is objectively a handsome man, some might even go as far as saying one of the most handsome on the planet.
Not only did he marry one of the country's biggest pop stars, he has graced virtually every magazine front cover around during his time.
But back in the 90s, however, it turns out that some weren't so confident he would have aged as finely as he has done.

In 1998, just as he was on the cusp of becoming the sports icon he is today, FourFourTwo mocked up an image of Goldenballs to see what he might look like in 2020.
And to say it was, err, unflattering, is an understatement.
Rather than the luscious locks, chiselled jaw, and 'come to bed' eyes he now boasts, journalists at the football mag assumed Becks' looks would seriously fade.

Not only did they predict he'd lose some of his gnashers, they also thought his forehead would grow about five inches and he would be sporting a unibrow.
Beneath the tongue-in-cheek pic, the magazine also suggested his career would go down the Swanee.
It said: "Things went distinctly pear-shaped for the Manchester United starlet after his club missed out on the 1998 championship and he lost his entire personal fortune in the Brylcreem crash of 2005.
"Now, well into his forties, he is reduced to appearing for England veterans' teams alongside his fellow Fergie fledglings and reminiscing wistfully about his glory days."

However, the last bit of the salty prediction, was saved for his other half.
It added: "Posh, who has since ballooned to 20st since her singing career collapsed, now models clothes for the 'larger lady'."
Ouch.

Well, with the Beckham docuseries landing on Netflix this week, the spotlight has been shone back on the pair, with the pic resurfacing once again.
And as you can imagine, it's shocked his fans.
"FourFourTwo didn’t predict the advances in cosmetic surgery," joked one.
Another commented: "Give me another 22 years and I will finally look like David Beckham."

"Looks more like Paul Scholes," put a third.
While someone else added: "In 1998, FourFourTwo magazine predicted David Beckham would look like this in 2020.
"Close enough."
Beckham's new series takes fans behind the scenes of the superstar's life, with new interviews from those who know him best - including Sir Alex Ferguson and Roy Keane.
Beckham is available to watch on Netflix now.
