The 27-year-old wife of Swedish actor Dolph Lundgren has recalled the awkward moment her mum found out about her relationship with the 65-year-old star.
Emma Krokdal married Lundgren in a ceremony in Mykonos, Greece on 13 July, four years after they first started dating.
In 2015, Lundgren was diagnosed with kidney cancer, and in 2021 a doctor told him he had 'two to three years' to live.

Lundgren and Krodkdal admitted after tying the knot that they'd had to push their marriage plans 'many times' due to medical treatments, among other things, but the couple said this month it was 'finally the right time to celebrate love, life and happiness'.
As it turns out, though, Korkdal didn't actually see Lundgren as marriage material when they first met in West Hollywood.
The 27-year-old opened up about the start of their relationship in an interview with Graham Bensinger, where she explained that she 'obviously' wasn't going to tell her mum about the first time she slept over at Lundgren's house.

"I wasn't planning on it becoming anything serious at all," Korkdal admitted.
Unfortunately however, Korkdal's plan of hiding the romance from her parents didn't last very long thanks to her mum's investigative nature.
Or, as Korkdal put it: "She stalks me."
"I should have known," she continued.

It turns out that Snapchat was Korkdal's downfall, as her mum checked the maps feature and realised her daughter wasn't at home.
"Then she sent me a screenshot of me on the map, and she Googled the address and she found out it was Dolph's address. So that was a bit awkward," Korkdal said.
Though she didn't get to share the news about her new relationship in the way she might have wanted, Korkdal insisted her parents are 'cool' about her relationship with Lundgren in spite of the near 40-year age gap.
"They know each other really well," she said.

For his part, Lundgren admitted he didn't know 'why [Korkdal] liked' him, telling Bensinger: "But I suppose she saw something there. She didn't know about my acting career, she didn't know anything about me."
Lundgren rose to fame in 1985, when he starred as Ivan Drago in Rocky IV. He's since gone on to appear in movies including The Punisher, The Expendables and Masters of the Universe.
Though Lundgren admitted the age difference between him and his wife is 'quite severe', he said he was lucky to have been surrounded by younger people through his work.

"I'm in show business, I deal with young people all the time, I work out," he said, adding: "I don't feel that old."
