The Inbetweeners star Emily Atack has revealed the show nicknames which are still shouted at her in the street.

Atack, 34, shot to fame after playing Charlotte Hinchcliffe in the E4 coming-of-age sitcom alongside Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, James Buckley and Blake Harrison.

She has since found success as a comedian and media personality, featuring in shows such as I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, The Emily Atack Show and will next be seen in upcoming Disney+ series Rivals.

However its the popular girl from Rudge Park Comprehensive where most fans remember her from, with the actress revealing she still gets Inbetweeners comments to this day.

Speaking on an episode of Mo Gilligan's Beginning, Middle & End podcast, Atack explained that phrases such as 'bus w***er' and 'Charlotte big jugs' are things she still frequently hears.

Responding to a question from Gilligan whether or not people still recognise her from the show, Atack replied: "All the time.

"'Charlotte big t**s' 'Charlotte big jugs'," she continued. "People shout 'Will' at me, people call me a 'bus w***er'."

Now you'd think that having the same handful of names and phrases yelled at you over the last 14 years would get old pretty quickly, however Atack has been able to take the comments in her stride.

"I don't get upset if people call me that," she said. "It's fiction. It's a role that was very much celebrated and, you know, it changed my life and I also have a sense of humour."

Atack also went on to reveal what it was like to interview for the role at the age of 17, recalling an awkward first interaction with the casting director Nadira Seecoomar.

"I was a bit cocky... [and then] I walked in there and I had put loads of make-up on and Nadira said to me 'you've got too much make-up on, you need to go out there and wipe it off' mortified," Atack said.

Despite the make-up gaffe Atack clearly made a good impression with the producers and was able to land the role the very same day.

And the rest, as they say, is history.

However fans hoping to see Atack and the The Inbetweeners gang back for a reboot shouldn't hold their breath, as Simon Bird recently shot down any hopes of a reunion.

"I’m afraid to be the one pouring cold water on this but it’s not happening," he told MailOnline. "I can tell you emphatically that there are no prospects of a reunion.

"[The cast would] be happy to but it’s not up to us, it’s up to the writers, Iain [Morris] and Damon [Beesley, and I know they’re both very busy these days.

"It’s not more likely to happen now than it was ten years ago I’m afraid."
