A host of handwritten notes penned by Gene Hackman for his beloved wife Betsy Arakawa were found at their home following their tragic deaths.
Hollywood is still reeling from the passing of the legendary actor, 95, and his 65-year-old spouse back in February.
The couple, who were married for more than 30 years, were mysteriously found dead at their Santa Fe home, alongside one of their pet dogs, who is believed to have died from dehydration.

Arakawa is thought to have passed away after contracting hantavirus pulmonary syndrome, a rare but potentially fatal disease, which spreads to humans through infected rodent droppings or saliva.
Meanwhile, Hackman's cause of death was ruled as 'hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, with Alzheimer's disease as a 'significant contributory factor.'
Further details surrounding the puzzling case have been released this week, including bodycam footage showing police officers entering the home and stumbling across the distressing scene.

Officials also revealed that classical pianist Arakawa had made a string of worrying internet searches in her final days.

Numerous undated notes written by Superman star Hackman have now also been publicised, in which he shows his adoration for his wife of 34-years, while dubbing her his 'lovely girl.'
He sweetly signed the majority of them off with the same signature, 'Love, G.'
The touching tributes on varying scraps of paper were littered across the New Mexico mansion they shared, with one poignant post-it simply saying: "Morning lovely girl, thinking of you and the other little guys. Love G."

In another, Hackman apologised for having to ask Arakawa to pitch in with a birthday dinner he had rustled up for her.

It read: "Good morning. Happy several days after your birthday. Sorry still about the dinner and having to ask for your help, although it was appreciated. Love you and the guys, G."
In another particularly moving note, Hackman seemed to allude to his health battles with humour.
"Ho, Ho, I am off to see the Wizard, the Wizz of Achie, Pokie," the late actor wrote. "She stabs me here and stabs me there, she stabs me almost everywhere (almost).

"But I'll survive because after I am still alive. (But some times just barely). Love G."

Hackman also appeared to inform his spouse that he was heading out on an errand in another message, while making light of his symptoms of Alzheimer's.
"I'm going down to that building out past the hot water place where you sit, and do whatever it is that people are supposed to do in such a building - maybe I'll remember once I get down there," he said.
The father-of-three switched out his usual sign off in this note, instead writing: "Love, what's his name."

According to a handwritten message left by Arakawa, she would leave her husband jigsaw puzzles to complete while she was out running errands.

Police photos show a collection of finished puzzles stacked in a large pile on a table inside the home.
Arakawa wrote: "Hi G! Taking Zin to obedience class & the vet appt. See you back at home! There is jigsaw puzzle on the table. xo B."
The pianist, from Hawaii, reportedly met the Royal Tenenbaums actor at a fitness centre in LA, where she worked as a part-time employee.
In 1984 they started dating, before they eventually got married seven years later.
