Gogglebox fans get excited because the cast has posted some corking photos from their Christmas party - but they might get the stars in some bother.
In the last ten years, we’ve seen some epic highs and heartbreaking moments aired on the Channel 4 show.
As a nation, we mourned the loss of the late Andy Michael and honestly couldn’t stop laughing when Lee Riley mistook Jenny Newby’s facemask as dip for his crisps.
While we benefit from an annual Gogglebox festive special, the cast has always been denied a Christmas party…until now.

On Friday, Izzie Warner from the show took to Instagram to give fans a sneak peek of what went on at the first-ever Gogglebox Christmas party.
In snaps shared with her 408,000 social media followers, the stars could be seen filing into a photo-booth and taking selfies with one another.
The 29-year-old celebrity even posed alongside the show’s narrator, Craig Cash, who is rarely seen in public.

Explaining the shindig, the TV personality wrote: “Well when we’ve waited 10 years for a cast party you’d better make sure it’s a good one! Team Gogglebox didn’t disappoint.”
In the comments section, one Instagram user wrote: "Omg asif you all finally met up! You all look fab!!"
A second said: "Lovely to see you all together!"
"Amazing, is love to have been a fly on the wall, it would blow my brain to see you all together. Merry Christmas," commented a third.

However, the Yuletide celebrations could come at a cost, as the reality cast has broken a golden rule.
According to The Mirror, Tom Malone Junior has previously stated that when it comes to Gogglebox, there’s an order which must be obeyed.
Speaking back in 2022 via Instagram Live, the dancer said: "So the weird thing with Gogglebox is, if you're on the show, you're not allowed to meet up with anyone else that is on the show, unless it's like an awards show that you're invited to or something.

“I still speak to a few people on social media and I still speak to all the crew and stuff...”
Interestingly, this isn’t the only rule that the TV stars have to adhere to.
Think you’ve seen someone drinking alcohol while talking Springwatch in their living room? Guess again.
Producers have implemented a ban on alcohol so that cast members can avoid slurring their words on camera.

Malone Jr also spilled the beans on this one, and told The Sun: “We weren’t allowed to order or drink alcohol, because I don’t think the show would work if we were all there slurring our words.”
According to former cast member Paige Deville, the Gogglebox stars are also asked to stay off their phones and pay attention to the show they’re commenting on.
The 26-year-old also claimed that producers would ask families to watch scenes multiple times to get a range of responses.
Tune in to the 2023 Gogglebox festive special via Channel 4 on Christmas Eve at 9.30pm.
