What’s inside the $1,000,000 Golden Globes goodie bags celebrities will receive tonight

Oh to be invited to a fancy awards ceremony with wonderfully expensive goodie bags.

In case you hadn't heard, the Golden Globes are on and a whole bunch of movies and TV shows are up for this year's gongs.

As much as people are always banging on about how it's 'an honour to be nominated' and such, the real honour is walking away the winner.

If you can't scoop the big prizes of the night then you should at least endeavour to snag yourself a goodie bag because they contain some very expensive stuff.

This isn't the sort of bag where they stuff in a slice of cake and some cheap souvenirs, the Golden Globes have put together 100 gift bags worth $1 million but of course there's a bit of a catch in all of this.

What we know about the Golden Globes gift bags

According to The Guardian, the official Golden Globes gift bag has a long list of items to pick from and the famous folk can only choose nine.

Everyone will be getting an official suede bag, which inside will contain a list of the various other things people can pick and how many of them are on offer.

There's a $48,000 trip to Finland to see the Northern Lights on offer, but only for one of the 100 recipients, while other holiday experiences include a three-night stay at a villa in the Turks and Caicos Islands near the Bahamas which nine people can get and a five-day luxury yacht ride through Indonesia which will be available to all of them.

Wellness stays in the Maldives, a night in a Beverly Hills suite and a five night stay at the Ritz Carlton in Grand Cayman are all on the table for celebrities who want to pick those prizes for their goody bag.

Meanwhile, Robb Report says there's also a whole load of beauty products and services including a treadmill, hand-designed suit and a 'non-surgical Stemcell Facelift' for one person.

One Golden Globes goodie bag winner can take a trip to the Mexican town of Tequila, and there's no prizes for guessing what drink that place is famous for, while there's lots of other alcohol and cigars on the shopping list of gifts for people to pick from.

The catch

Since there's limited availability for these gifts the ones which are only open to a select number of people are doled out on a first come, first served basis.

Not every person is going to walk away with a million dollars worth of goodies, as many of the most valuable items on the list are only for the handful of people who called dibs on them first.
