Holland Taylor has admitted marriage to her long-term partner, Sarah Paulson, isn’t on the cards.
American actress Paulson, who just turned 50 (December 17) and Taylor, 81, initially struck up a friendship in 2005.
Ten years later, the pair announced they were an item and have since appeared arm-in-arm at numerous award shows and film premieres.
Paulson, who has been described by her long-term partner as someone who is ‘incredibly witty and funny and smart’, previously confessed the ‘secret’ to their relationship is that they don’t actually live together.

“We don’t live together, that’s the sort of secret," she admitted on the SmartLess podcast with Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett.
"Holland and I, we spend plenty of time together but we don’t live in the same house.
“We’ve been together for a long time now and I think part of it has to do with, we’re together when we wanna be and we’re not when we don’t.”
She added that she prefers to ‘sleep near’ her S.O, and that they both ‘like to fall asleep holding hands’.

As well as having no plans to live together, the American Horror Story star and her girlfriend - who is 32 years her senior - aren’t organising a wedding ceremony anytime soon.
“I don’t think [we’ll get married]. We’ve never talked about it with any interest,” Taylor recently told Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM channel Radio Andy.
“It doesn’t seem to mean to us what it means to a lot of people.”

The Legally Blonde favourite went on to say that, while she and Paulson have a ‘wonderful romance’, she does worry about the ‘generational difference’ between them.
“We have a big generational difference between us, which worries me for her sake. But, you know… what can I do?”
However, she added to Cohen: “We do have a wonderful resonance. We are very interested in the same kinds of things, and yet we share big differences.
“A lot of the things that she is going through that are very emotionally important to her right now, I went through 30 years ago or 40 years ago.”

Previously Paulson has admitted that she and Taylor have received negative attention from critics regarding their age gap.
In an interview with The Guardian back in 2020, she commented: “I don’t remember people going nuts about Michael Douglas and Catherine-Zeta Jones, in terms of their age difference.”
She went on to say that she believes fans are ‘fascinated’ by her personal relationship ‘because it’s so not typical’.

“Except for if you look around at plenty of well-known or recognisable couples, when they’re heterosexual couples, it just runs rampant, and I don’t see anybody becoming obsessed by those relationships.”
