Anxiety does not discriminate because people from all walks of life can experience it and Hollywood actors are no different.

Deadpool stars Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds have been mates for almost 20 years, and the pair sat down to talk about mental health - whilst simultaneously ripping into each other.

The duo will star in the third and last instalment of the Marvel film as viewers got their first-look at Wolverine in Deadpool 3.

In a recent video published by People, the pair opened up about their anxiety struggles and how it's impacted their personal life.

"Oh mate, you've been pretty open with your anxiety struggles, which I really applaud you for," Jackman told his co-star.

"Do you find being a dad makes it better or worse?"

"I think it makes it better because your focus is less on yourself and more on your kids. I know you know that too," Reynolds replied.

"Now I love that I have anxiety, I love that I've had anxiety.

"Because when I see my kids experiencing some of that, which is probably genetic, I know how to address it in a way that is compassionate, that actually allows them to feel seen. I know that I can't just fix it.

"And I can communicate all that stuff to them and with them. I'm always grateful for it."

"My job benefits greatly," he added.

"People who have anxiety are constantly thinking into the future.

"You're constantly, 'What if this happens? What if that happens?' You're always telling yourself stories.

"So when we're shooting Deadpool & Wolverine, I'm not just shooting the movie, I'm also sitting in the audience as a cautious critic going, 'I don't like that. I don't buy that.'

"So anxiety creates that ecosystem of awareness that I wouldn't otherwise [have]."

That's when Jackman said: "I really applaud you for it. I think it takes courage to speak about it and it's helped a lot of people because a lot of people come up to me talking about you."

He then joked: "And I say shut up I'm not interested, but they keep talking about you."

Reynolds almost laughed off his chair as the pair shared a hilarious moment.

Fans really seemed to appreciate their conversation, as one person said: "Ultimate tutorial of what true friendship is. The conversation about anxiety was heartwarming and needed."

"This is one of those interviews that make our 'hearts warm'!" a second wrote.
