Jake Hall’s ex Chloe Lewis breaks silence on tragic death of ‘childhood sweetheart’ in heartbreaking tribute

Reality TV star Chloe Lewis has paid tribute to her former partner Jake Hall after he died in Spain earlier this month.

The 35-year-old father suffered a tragic holiday villa accident after returning home from a night out and was discovered dead on the morning of 6 May.

Hall joined the cast of TOWIE in 2015, appearing between seasons 14 and 17, and was well known for both his time on the reality show and his subsequent fashion brand.

Lewis was previously in an on-and-off relationship with Hall and took a break from social media in the weeks following his passing in Mallorca, before returning with a poignant tribute.

Taking to Instagram today (29 May), she shared a montage of photos to the John Legend song 'Ordinary People'.

In the caption, Lewis wrote: "My first love, my childhood sweetheart. A love that taught me so much about life and myself, and even more so now your presence is no longer here.

"A complete pain in the a**e most of the time, but always with the purest heart and the greatest soul. You touched so many lives and meant well in everything you did.

"I knew who you were… and I know what you wanted from life… a happy home and a loving family. Being the best dad was the most important thing to you & we always use to speak about it.

"You did that, Jake, with pride and made it look so easy and effortless. Like I knew you would."

Hall was a father to eight-year-old River and the mother of his child Misse Beqiri has also spoken out since his death, describing it as a 'devastating loss'.

Lewis continued: "We met at the age of 16, when you stalked me in a bar and ended up coming out with my sister and Danny for the night. You looked like you had stepped straight out of a Ralph Lauren catalogue in your shirt, sleeves rolled up, with a red sweatshirt tied over your shoulders like a little Spanish boy.

"I remember thinking, 'How am I stuck with this guy for the night?' But somehow, you danced with me all night and we belly-laughed until the early hours. You made me feel like I was the most wonderful person you had ever met.

"From that day on, we were inseparable, and you became my best friend.

"Navigating our young years and being thrown into a reality TV show, being in the public eye wasn’t really what we wanted, but it all just happened so quickly & it took over our relationship. It was a huge struggle for me & mentally hurt us both."

The reality star - who also joined TOWIE in 2015 - continued: "We had our ups and downs, but we always knew how to come back to each other… until it was all too late. Life got in the way, and we separated after spending 10 years together. We didn’t love wrong, we just didn’t know how to hold on to it.

"The most talented and creative person I knew, from such a young age — starting Prevu in your mum and dad’s garage. Me and Mummy were always your No.1 fans.

"You came up with the most gorgeous styles that were completely original, and I remember the day you made me the first womenswear piece and insisted on taking photos of me wearing it. It was unique, just like you.

"You loved music the way it should be loved, and the words to so many songs mean so much more now. I’ll never forget the moment you sang 'Ordinary People' to me for the first time, and it will forever be our song. Sitting at your laptop, smiling at me while singing, 'Girl, I’m in love with you…' with your cheeky smile and love in your eyes. The best kind of Jake."

Lewis went on to say: "You were a pest and drove the people who cared about you crazy, but we loved you, and I wouldn’t have changed you for the world. The last few weeks have felt very surreal, and I still don’t really know how to process you being gone. I last saw you in February 14th when I told you to take care of yourself. But you never listened, did you? You always did it your way.

"You were such a massive and special part of my life, and I truly hoped that we would grow old, that I’d see you one day, happy and at peace with life. We’d smile at each other and be grateful that life had been good to us. But now I know that God had better plans for you.

"Heartache echoes through the world for you Jake. I’ve never seen so many people pour their love out for one person. I wish you could see it all — to realise just how deeply you were loved. I hope you can now, and that your mind is finally peaceful."

Concluding the touching tribute, she penned: "You’ll be in my thoughts forever, and I’m sorry I couldn’t have saved you. The world feels quieter since you’ve been gone, Like somehow all the music is all wrong.’

"I hope it’s peaceful up there, and I really hope that one day I get to see you again. Keep shining like you always do. Stay Magic.

"Que Sera, Sera, Jakey. All my love Always."

Lewis shares a six-year-old son, Beau, with her ex-partner, Danny Flasher. The pair split in 2023.
