James Martin has issued a positive health update following his cancer diagnosis.
The TV chef previously had surgery to remove facial cancer back in 2018 after his initial diagnosis. And since then, he says it has returned ‘on several occasions’.
Towards the end of last year, Martin announced he was taking a break from TV as he reportedly told a crowd during a stage show in Liverpool that he had ‘been through aa lot of sh*t with cancer’.

Earlier today (15 April) the Saturday Morning with James Martin star appeared on Lorraine for one of his first returns to TV.
Host Lorraine Kelly asked the 51-year-old if he was feeling good, to which he responded: “Yes, the stitches have fallen out, as you know, the last time I was on, I was in the middle of operations.
"As we speak, the stitches have fallen out of my body at the moment and that's all clear, onwards and upwards!”

Much of Martin’s battle with cancer had been kept privacy until July last year, when the chef was accused of exhibiting bullying and intimidating behaviour.
Audio from a 2018 production was leaked and appeared to show the star swearing 42 times at staff due to a ‘blocked drain at his home’.
During the 15-minute long audio from a Zoom call, it included Martin saying: “Nobody listens, nobody f**king listens do they.
"I will not put up with this, this is b*llocks."

Following this leak, the star apologised and called it ‘one of the most fraught and difficult periods of [his] life’.
Revealing it was the year he had surgery for the cancer on his face, Martin took to X to write: “I have always strived to keep my private life private.
“However since details of a conversation, which was secretly recorded in January 2018, are now five years later being made public by a former member of our production team, I have decided to make a statement.

"The end of 2017 was one of the most fraught and difficult periods of my life. I was dealing with the death of my last living grandparent, my grandfather, and on account of work commitments I could not attend his funeral.
"Later that month I was burgled at night by a team of masked men, who entered my house while my partner Louise was at home alone and I was away working.
"I was then diagnosed with cancer on my face and I had to have surgery, which I couldn't do until two days before Christmas when we had finished filming. Since then it has returned on several occasions and I have to have regular treatments."
