Whether they like it or not, being part of the rumour mill and the subject of salacious gossip on a regular basis is part and parcel of being a celebrity.
People are constantly speculating about the private lives of some of our favourite stars, especially when it comes to who they might be rolling around in bed with - but Jennifer Aniston and Barack Obama was a pretty wild suggestion.
US magazine In Touch Weekly made some pretty audacious claims about the unlikely pair on its front cover, with the publication alleging that a source had informed them the duo were 'obsessed with each other'.

As well as this, the issue, which dropped on 5 August this year, stated that 'power circles in Washington and Hollywood couldn't stop gossiping' about the alleged sparks flying between the Friends star and the former President.
And to seriously stir the pot just that bit further, the front cover sported the subheading: "Michelle betrayed as Aniston steals her husband's attention."
But the good news is, we can call the lynch mob who jumped to the conclusion that Aniston is some kind of husband snatcher off, as the actress has now set the record straight about her supposedly secret relationship with Obama.

During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the 55-year-old addressed the whispers going around about her.
The talk show host presented a copy of the In Touch Weekly issue to Aniston, which had the headline: "The truth about Jen and Barack."
She immediately burst into giggles and began blushing as she explained her thoughts on the article.
She told Kimmel: "That's kind of...that was...of all the calls you get from your publicist where you're just like, 'Oh no, what's it going to be?' Or the email saying some cheesy tabloid is going to make up a story, and then it's that.

"I was not mad at it!"
The comedian then asked the We're The Millers star to clarify what 'the truth' about her and Obama was to put the rumours to be once and for all, saying: "So, the truth about Jen and Barack is that there is no truth?"
"No, that is absolutely untrue," Aniston replied. "It is untrue."

The Los Angeles-born actress then revealed she had only met the politician, 63, once and actually knows his wife Michelle 'more than him'.
Kimmel then quipped: "Is there a truth about you and Michelle that we should know?"
But again, Aniston denied that there were any secrets to spill.
She then played a quick game with the talk show host where she dispelled some other rumours, as well as confirming that the tabloids had got it right on some rare occasions with some strange stories about her.

Aniston admitted she did have a salmon sperm facial and does travel abroad with jars of olives, before confessing that reports that she 'has a ziplock bag filled with her dead therapist's ashes' were 'a little true'.
However, Aniston insisted claims that she installed a $4,000 anti-aging water filter in her home for her dogs was 'absolutely' false.
