Jennifer Lawrence says she's got one big fear about sex

Jennifer Lawrence admitted she has a huge fear which can instantly kill the mood

I can imagine that Jennifer Lawrence would be the perfect person to ask what she thinks of your outfit or if you should bin off that person you've been on a couple of dates with, as she is a woman who is brutally honest.

Whether it's discussing the 'degrading' act she had to perform to get noticed as a young starlet or how filming with Hollywood hunk Leonardo DiCaprio left her in 'absolute misery', she never minces her words.

Even chatting about how sh*gging the director of a film she was starring in isn't off limits for Lawrence.

However, it seems she doesn't mind bending the truth a bit when it comes to her bedroom antics - as the actor has admitted that everything she comes out with before rolling in the sheets with someone is actually all just bravado.

This shouldn't surprise you too much, seen as though Lawrence candidly chatted about how she had to get 'really, really drunk' to lock lips with Chris Pratt for the sci-fi movie Passengers in 2016.

So essentially, although she talks a big game, she's actually much more demure under the surface when it comes to sex... and it's all down to one huge fear she has.

Lawrence - who is celebrating her 34th birthday today (15 August) - said she puts on a front as a Big Time Charlie but in actual fact, she's a bit of a prude who reckons 'd**k is dangerous'.

The Hollywood star got hitched to art gallery director Cooke Maroney in 2019, who she described as her 'best friend' and 'favourite person on the planet', before they welcomed their son Cy into the world in February 2022.

But it turns out that Lawrence wasn't much of a fan of the baby-making process before she got married.

While promoting her film Red Sparrow in 2018, she told Howard Stern's radio show: "I always talk like I want d**k, but the truth is - when I look back at my sexual past, it was always with boyfriends.

"I talk like I like it, but I don’t really do it."

When she would start getting down to business, the Don't Look Up star just couldn't get her mind off one of her biggest fears, which kind of hijacked the hot and heaviness of the moment.

Lawrence said: "I am mostly also a germaphobe. I have made it this far without an STI."

"D**k is dangerous," she continued: "If I was at the point where I could get an STI, doctors have already been involved. That is how much of a germaphobe I am."

The safe sex champion seems to have overcome her fear in the years that have passed since she shared her secret worry with the world, following her wedding to Maroney and becoming a mother for the first time.

Baby snot, sick and dirty nappies are surely a germaphobes worst nightmare, but maybe it's worked as a kind of exposure therapy for Lawrence.

Well, we hope so anyway.
