A Harry Potter star who made headlines after she announced she would be joining OnlyFans to post non-sexual content has hit out at trolls.
Jessie Cave played Lavender Brown in the last three Harry Potter films and is also well known for her role in the cult classic film Pride.
Cave announced earlier this week that she would begin posting on OnlyFans to ‘get out of debt’.

She said in an announcement on her Substack that her account would ‘not be a sexual one’, saying: “I’m launching an OnlyFans, it’s not a sexual one. It’s a fetish. Fetish doesn’t necessarily mean sexual.”

Cave plans to post ‘the best quality hair sounds’, promising that they will be sensual.
Since then, however, the Harry Potter star has responded to the massive media attention for her move, saying on her Substack: “Obviously, most of the new followers assume I’m now doing sexual content, even though I’ve made it clear I will not be.

“I have had loads of positive comments, most of which along the lines of 'you go girl' - always massively appreciated. And yeah I’ve had some 'as a mother are you even thinking of what your kids might ask when they’re older?'
“Now, this is where I get a little angry.”
She spoke about how she had planned the career change ‘meticulously', before saying: “A common conception seems to be that because I’m a mother, I shouldn’t be doing anything for myself at all….no no!

“Mothers must only do wholesome, bouncy content so that when their kids grow up they will be able to scroll back and appreciate that their mothers did nothing but mother them from the second they were born.”
She went on to say she would ‘not be ashamed’ for wanting to try something new, clarifying that she is ‘excited’ to learn about the world of hair fetishes.
She later added: “I don’t care what the tattle life types who live in the comments sections think or even what my peers will think.
“I care about this new energy I have. I care about this new me who is finally emerging after a period of sad dormancy and I care about what I’m providing for my children too.”

The actor received a great deal of support in the comments under her new post, with one saying: “Hey why not capitalise on people’s fetishes in a way that feels comfortable?! Ignore the keyboard warriors and good luck with it.”
Another said: “It’s an amazing idea! If I had hair as beautiful as yours, why not?!”

In her original post, Cave said of her plans to earn money from OnlyFans: “One year. I’ll try for one year. My aim?

“To get the house safe, cover the arsenic/lead wallpaper, build a new roof etc.
“My aim? To get out of debt. My aim? To empower myself.
“To prove to those in the past who have misjudged me that I’m not so sweet. To put time into something I never invested in before: self-love.”
