Joshua Nair is a journalist at LADbible. Born in Malaysia and raised in Dubai, he has always been interested in writing about a range of subjects, from sports to trending pop culture news. After graduating from Oxford Brookes University with a BA in Media, Journalism and Publishing, he got a job freelance writing for SPORTbible while working in marketing before landing a full-time role at LADbible. Unfortunately, he's unhealthily obsessed with Manchester United, which takes its toll on his mental and physical health. Daily.

Joe Lycett has clarified if his baby announcement was a joke in his latest newsletter.

The British comedian shared the good news that he is now a father via social media on 26 October, shocking the public and bizarrely revealing that the first photos of the child would exclusively go to Autotrader.

Having carried out his fair share of pranks throughout his career, you can't blame people for being a little bit sceptical.

Writing on Instagram two weeks ago, Lycett said that he was 'LOVING being a dad' and sent a message of appreciation to Birmingham Womens' Hospital for their help in delivering his son.

But it looks like some people still aren't believing the 36-year-old's out-of-the-blue announcement, as he has now issued an update on parenthood.

He has previously revealed that he has given his girlfriend an alias, 'Denise', to keep his private life away from the media.

Writing in his newsletter that was published on Friday (8 November), he penned: “I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who has been so lovely about my news (you may have seen on Instagram or in the press that I have just welcomed a son)....

"I’m finding fatherhood to be a total delight."

Making sure to leave no stone unturned, he addressed the public by adding: “And to confirm, he’s defo not a stunt (although I appreciate I’ve cried wolf enough that might not be convincing) and as promised I will be appearing on the Parenting Hell podcast in the near future.”

Some of you might still be sceptical over it all, but it does look like he might not be having us on - for once.

Speaking on The Pieces podcast earlier this year, he explained his sexuality for 'idiots' who don't understand.

"I also don’t really know how it works because, I don’t know, how does it work? As in, I don’t know how it works in terms of like, explaining it to idiots," he began.

"Because it is hard to sort of go, well, no, I am attracted to men sometimes, but not all men. And it’s not often to do with the fact that they are men. Often it’s like a good torso is enough, you know? The little abs. Yeah, that’s it. The lines. The torso is dangerous. A lovely arm.

"Yeah, it doesn’t matter what the gender or whatever. And I don’t know why that is, but that is how it is. It’s a strange one because to me that suggests that sexuality is not just man, woman. So the intellectual side of me goes it’s pansexual, which means all. So, that’s how I feel about myself."
