John Krasinski has had a highly decorated career as both an actor and a director, but he will be immortalised for one role and one role only.
Jim Halpert is one of the most iconic TV characters of all time, often being the only voice of reason, sometimes alongside Pam Beesly, in NBC sitcom The Office.
A reboot for the series was announced earlier this year, but diehard fans of the original are unsure if it will live up to its predecessor, which ran for nine seasons from 2005-2013.
The show underwent a second spike in popularity during the COVID lockdown, as it set records for being the most watched series in the world.

Previously being popular among millennials alone, Gen Z have fully embraced the show and the Jim faces that come with it, no matter how many times the turntables.
With the fame that came with the success of the show at the time though, comes a number of weird encounters with 'fans' as a celebrity.
In fact, a clip of John Krasinski explaining his most bizarre experience with a person claiming to not be a fan during a 2007 episode of the Conan O'Brien talk show has resurfaced.

Krasinski began to explain: "She came up to me and said 'are you in The Office?
"And I was like, 'yeah I am', and she was like 'well I don't watch it, so I don't care'," he said.
In disbelief at the time, he simply said 'great, thank you', before the girl pointed out that her friend, named Sarah, was a big fan.
The actor, being the nice guy that he is, begins to speak to Sarah about her favourite episode and has a friendly conversation about the show, until the original girl makes her move.

Krasinski revealed: "And this girl just sticks her fingers in my throat!"
To which the crowd and Conan couldn't believe, with the host in utter disbelief.
The actor added there was a 'surreal' moment afterward where they simply stared at each other, before she said: "Oh I'm sorry I just," before walking away.

The clip still does the rounds on social media nowadays, with fans still shocked almost 20 years later.
One commented on Instagram: "Sounds like claiming attention from celebrity guy who she pretended not to care about?"
Another put: "The way people don't respect celebrities has to be recognized. They are people, just WELL KNOWN."
A third also put: "This person doesn’t sound right in the head."

However, some saw the funnier side of things.
A fourth said: "It was actually Dwight acting as a girl."
A different user put: "Literally a scene from the Office."
