Unlikely celebrity friends is a niche category many of us love to see, especially when it includes people you’d never believe could be mates in real life.
Like British pop star Ed Sheeran and Friends actress Courtney Cox, who have been publicly besties for years.
The Shape of You singer even introduced her to her now-fiancé, front man of Snow Patrol Johnny McDaid.

There’s just something so intriguing about watching two worlds collide.
But what about an odd trio of unlikely friends?
When famous actor Russell Crowe posted a picture of him drinking a pint yesterday, nobody could have expected it would include Johnny Depp and Sheeran.

The group were sat with their pints of Guinness in hand as they enjoyed some quality time together and people in the comments were baffled.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the Gladiator star wrote: “Teatro del Silenzio backstage shenanigans with Teddy & Johnny. Lubrication by Guinness. Perfect.
“Grazie Millie Maestro Andrea Bocelli. What an incredible experience.”
People in the comments were rightfully interested in what was going on as the Roman fighter, pirate and British singer appeared to be pretty close.

One person wrote: “Maximus, Captain Jack Sparrow and Teddy go into a bar..." as another penned: "Man, that's a crew alright! How could you not have some fun!"
Someone else wrote: "Oh my goodness! So much love, so many legends, so much awesomeness in this epic picture!"

And one person even joked: "Gladiator, Pirate and the redhead Gnome."
As it turns out, they were all together for a very special event: Andrea Bocelli’s celebration of his amazing career as a singer.
Titled the Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration, many celebs pooled into the three-day concert to help make it all the more special.
That included the likes of Will Smith, Depp and Sheeran.

Held at the Teatro del Silenzio in Lajatico, Italy, a number of special guests took to the stage to give the crows a memorable evening.
Smith’s part in the show included a spoken-word rendition of the 1940s song You'll Never Walk Alone, while a piano played softly behind him.
Depp’s was a little different, however.
The 61-year-old performed a guitar backing of En Aranjuez Con Tu Amor, while Bocelli took the lead as the pair paid tribute to the late Jeff Beck.
On his own X account, Depp shared a series of images of himself with friends and commemorated his friend and his life.
He wrote: “On what would have been Jeff Beck's birthday, Gibson held a gathering with some of Jeff's long-time friends and collaborators to celebrate his memory at the Gibson Garage London, with the launch of the Gibson Custom Jeff Beck ‘YardBurst’ 1959 Les Paul Standard.
"At this intimate event, attendees included Jimmy Page, Billy Gibbons, Chris Robinson, Graham Coxon and Sandra Beck, who gathered to remember the guitar legend at a show curated and hosted by Imelda May, which included performances from Toby Lee, Myself and from Jeff's live band, Anika Nilles.”
Sheeran performed Perfect Symphony with Bocelli and then Crowe, Shania Twain, Nadine Sierra, and Brian May, were among several others to hop on stage to make the night amazing.
