Kim Kardashian has reportedly lost just under 150,000 followers on Instagram after sharing a photo of Melania Trump.
The Kardashians star, 44, uploaded a picture of Donald Trump's wife from this Monday's (20 January) inauguration which saw him become America’s 47th president.
Donald and Melania have been married since 2005 and they share one son together, Barron Trump, 18.
Those who tuned in to the inauguration were confused by Barron's hand gestures, which apparently had a 'hidden meaning'.

Now, as well as not kissing her husband on the day, Melania rocked up in an eye-catching 'Undertaker-esque' hat, designed by Eric Javits.
Over on Instagram, Kim seemingly shared a photo of Melania's outfit, made by New York designer Adam Lippes.
However, it appears some may have taken it as a 'political stance,' even though the mum-of-four never publicly disclosed who she was voting for in the Presidential election.

And according to influencer marketing agency Socially Powerful, her follower count dropped by 144,963 since the photo was uploaded on to her story, as reported by the New York Post.
She reportedly also lost 9,553 followers on X, the marketing agency claims.
Meanwhile, the internet seemed to be pointing out how little of an impact it has made on her remaining 359 million followers.
"I’m sure she’ll recover," one person tweeted, as a second agreed: "Literally nothing for her."

"It’s going to take at least 4 years for society to recalibrate," a third person joked.
"OMG! How will I ever sleep tonight knowing this? BBBWWAAAHAHAHAHAHA," another wrote.
However, some were clearly rattled by the picture, with one writing: "Kim kardashian posted a photo of melania trump?" "Yeah it's clear who she voted for," someone else thought.

Well, her fans will remember that she's visited the White House before.
Back in 2018, she met with President Trump in his first term to discuss clemency for Alice Johnson, which lead to her release later that year.
Johnson was a first-time nonviolent offender who was sentenced to life in prison without parole in 1996 for her involvement in a drug trafficking operation.
Considered as harsh sentencing, she admitted her role in the operation but became a model prisoner, mentoring other inmates and participating in numerous help programs.

Kim saw her story on social media and the aspiring lawyer managed to help get Johnson released after 21 years behind bars.
Johnson has now become a vocal advocate for prison reform, and the reality star was praised for her efforts.
